why do u keep parroting this? russ didn't play any back to backs all of last season and still ended up injured too. russ wasn't gonna be playing back to backs this season either. and he's got just as high of a chance of getting injured this coming season as wall does.
Can someone remind me of what the Swap situations was is with OKC? We didn't literally trade 5 picks to OKC, it was 2 picks and 3 swaps? By the way it's going, OKC is going full tank so those swaps doesn't matter at this point right

being a better shooter than WB doesnt make him a good one. he is not a good shooter. wall does not know how to play off guard. he has never done that in his career. i dont think wall is a better player or ever has been than westbrook. people are also not taking into account how much wall cant seem to get along with his teammates. this could truly be a disaster if he cant adjust to having the ball less and lashes out. since WB is better, i would have preferred to keep him if james is going to stay as well. id like to see them with the new coach and pieces to see how we would look. since we did not keep the better player, i just want to see this blown up. wall does not move the needle he is very similar to westbrook just not as good. only cousins and wood can really change this team. with cousins and wall both coming off injury it is very unlikely this team will be any closer to a title..... so, just blow it up. stop screwing around get it over with.
Just goes to show you WBs low value. I hope Wall can give us something. For the very least build up his value.
If locked in, Wall had the athleticism (speed, explosiveness, length) to be a top defender. But elite defenders are DPOY types or 1st All Defense like Giannis, Kawhi, Smart, Draymond, CP3, DJ, Tony Allen, etc. They are elite because defense is their focus every second they are on the court. If Rockets culture is same or close to same as it was in the bubble, where all our players including our stars were defense first, second and last, then Rockets improving on defense may have a chance.
ughh, not optimistic about the picks then. By 2024 we might be one of the worst teams in the league, those picks might be worth a lot
We traded CP3, two first round picks, and two pick swamps for Westbrook. And Westbrook has an additional year under contract.
There is nothing wrong with Russ THIS season, he was coming off injury LAST season hence the caution. Same as Wall. Why is this simple concept so difficult for you to grasp????
Yeah, that was a really dumb trade, a permanent stain on Daryl Morey's career.....though it's not his fault the trade was forced on him. Either way, trading anything at all of value to be stuck with Westbrook is automatically one of the worst trades in NBA history.
I'm not mad at this trade. Gotta try something. I just hope we have a world class medical and rehab team given how injury prone our 2 new stats have been.
