He's under contract. If he refuses to play, you don't pay. Am I wrong about that?

Statistically they're comparable 3pt shooters. Rubio also 32% for his career. But he does shoot a lower volume and has a reputation of being a reluctant shooter so i'll give it to you.

    1.Westbrook
    2.Simmons
    3.Rubio

for the most part though, wall has been the better defender between him and russ. wall at least has better awareness and doesn't take terrible risks nearly every possession jumping passing lanes the way russ does, and then leaves the rest of the team defense exposed. i agree wall isn't some all world defender, but im sure part of that laziness that was mentioned was during the regular season and when wizards weren't doing too hot. watch his playoff tape against boston and it's an entirely different story.. he gets really engaged defensively.

to be honest, i'm not really expecting much from wall... but getting rid of westbrook who singlehandedly destroyed the team against the lakers, is worth it. and harden seems to be happy so that's all we could really ask for right?

Meh WB didn't want to be here anymore for whatever reason.

This just smells like a ty Lawson desperation trade to me. I want to be optimistic but Wall might be damaged goods at this point. I see a full rebuild in the future

Having Wall back with a 72 game schedule really should be a plus talking point

Do you understand the goal is a championship? We actually DO need another superstar to have a chance at that. If james stays wall better play his fukkin ass off, not just be "competent". If thats all he is we need to stop trade james this year before his value drops more.

It's lot of pressure on James. Imagine the regular season kicks off with Rockets on an extended losing streak. Half the team is different, new coach (head and assistants)...etc Yet expectations still remain that we're a top 8 team in the west and we're suppose to have a winning record regular season. Is Wall going to suit up game 1? Is Ego our 2nd guy, if James has an off night?

And yet WB has a better career EFG and TS. They are both better at creating for others than themselves.

Beggars can't be choosers, nobody wanted WB, just like no body wanted CP3 in 2019. You get what you get when you sell low.

You can't even rehab his value because he doesn't want to show up for camp

Oh, so the Wall contract is heavily covered by insurance if he gets hurt. Now it all makes sense.
