They only need one each - combined they will form former Kentucky Wildcats Voltron with Anthony Davis after he is traded here for Harden - you'll see.
Even if you don't like Russ. We really should have waited until his value went up this season to get better deals. If Russ is late to camp; Stone should have had the 'stones' to play hardball. Harden may have scrimmed with Wall. Friendship-wise, I don't think he's as close to Wall/Boogie, as he is with Russ. This deal could easily hasten Harden's decision to leave after this season. Frankly, i'm just not ready for the Harden era to end. The dominos are still falling.
believing any trash written by zach lowe is your mistake. the guy has dropped off in quality so much... and for people to trust a guy who hasn't touched a basketball his entire life is beyond me.
Those videos tell nothing about how Wall will look in an actual game, and can his body hold up over the course of a season. That's why the Rockets should have gotten a better pick, and even a rotational player alongside it for insurance. It's one thing to take a gamble on Boogie when he's just a free agent signed to a non-guaranteed contract. It's different when you trade a productive player for a complete unknown. We know that Westbrook was an All-NBA 3rd teamer with 27/8/7 numbers. Rafael Stone should have negotiated better.
Surprised by this move. I knew right now market for Russ wasn’t great but I figured even with him being a pain in the ass ab camp they’d let him start the season build up some value and then flip him. Rooting for it to work for you guys here. U all deserve it- some good fans. It’s not the move I’d have done but that’s a moot point now. it could be a brilliant gamble or it could be a nail in any chance at keeping harden happy here. Guess time will tell- hope it works out for u
Not about Lowe. Watch the games, Wall can be a REALLY lazy defender. Especially vs. quicker guards, he likes to lunge or leave his feet. Much better vs. bigger players. https://www.bulletsforever.com/2017...defense-washington-wizards-los-angeles-lakers
Reasons to like this 1. Wall is a better pure point guard than Westbrook. 2. Wall can actually hit catch and shoot 3's, so he can play off-ball 3. Wall and Boogie are best friends, so the locker room is going to be a LOT better than when the whole team was having to bend over backwards to cater to Westbrook. It's not a guarantee that this works, but we knew Westbrook was a disaster. Give me a chance of success over guaranteed failure.
Not as lit as Russell vs Brad will be on a nightly basis. Westbrick was upset having to defer to the best player in the NBA, how's he going to like having to do it for Beal?
Great post, this is what I was looking for, if it's true that they can be a top 5 defensive team then the Rockets can be a title contender. That's if Silver/Refs dont hand the Lakers another championship.
I’m much more interested in this team this year for sure. So there’s that. Well and Boogie are massive wildcards. Harden playing defense is a wildcard. Silas is a bit of a wildcard as coach but I feel good about him. Just much more interesting now. Low and behold though... the Westbrook trade was a massive disaster. There’s a reason why I screamed NOOO!!!! At the bar when I saw the tweet that he was coming to the Rockets and why I really lost in when I saw the picks we gave up to get him.
