Man, where were all you Westbrook haters when he had the best two month stretch of his career? Suddenly got all quiet, huh?

I'm fine with the trade. Seems like a lateral move, but at least Wall has the potential to be a better fit with Harden than Westbrook.

He doesn't have a choice. So he better get optimistic and contend for a title.

considering when you don't have to worry about a number of players on the floor that has an impact, see westbrick. nobody cares about him on the perimeter so they can crowd harden and co all day long.

Imagine this guy not showing up to training camp, threatening not to play on his $40m contract and actually getting what he wants while you get stuck with perhaps the worst contract of all time and one lottery-protected pick.

    Houston Knicks.

If you are trading Harden and rebuilding, you don’t take on John Wall’s garbage contract.

Yep! They screwed the pooch on that one. Hopefully the new additions will make up what we lost with Paul.

This trade is worth it just to not have to see those god awful backboard mid range jumper Russ bricked regularly

The ONLY person I feel bad for is Bradley Beal.

I agree with you mostly but it’s not a lateral trade if he does have the potential to be a better fit with Harden (and Wood and Cousins).

Y'all think this means Harden is on the move soon as well?

Nah I was saying this all along.

And this is the thing, CP3 didn’t even come close to reverting to 2018. He just got closer a bit. He really wasn’t much better than 2019.

2019 Chris Paul was a jumpshooter, a true pure great jumpshooter who lost his shot after the hamstring and elbow injury.

Betting on this guy getting shot back was not even close to crazy. People fell into the dumb hype. He couldn’t shoot and it made him predictable to defenses. That’s all there is to it.

So this big turnaround wasn’t a big turnaround. He did lose some athleticism but he’s been a jumpshooter since 2017 at least.

You make the Russ/CP3 trade every single time. In hindsight, could anyone have predicted last season, the shutdown, the injury, the bubble, then him forcing his way out of town because of Harden. Of course not. I would have loved to run it back with a new system and actual bigs on the roster, could have made another serious run at it. Having 2 MVPs on the same roster in their primes is a no-brainer, no doubt Stone tried to convince Russ to wait it out and stay the course. CP3 was getting old, faster than most expected, OKC just got jack from PHX for his services. I'd rather roll the dice on a comeback, 30 year old Wall, than still have CP3 on this current roster, any day. Sorry it didn't work out Russ, for whatever reason.

Why would you trade for a worse player that hasn’t played in 2 years if you are not rebuilding? Damn sure don’t plan on contending

I dont understand why people are happy? Wall Is injury prone and hasn’t played in like a couple of years. Didn’t we go through this before with CP3, an overpriced injury prone point guard?

Yes Westbrook played horrible in the bubble but he was pretty damn elite And the best player on the team between January- March and was starting to click with the team. I don’t understand why him or the Rockets couldn’t give it a shot a full normal season?

He hasn't been more than 40 games in over 3 years. And is coming off one of the most if not the most devastating injuries for any athlete. Would have been tolerable if the 1st round pick was not protected.
