Never gonna be a ton of action, but if you like dialogue and interpersonal relations, you should like it. If you don't, then you may be one of the 5% on earth who feel otherwise. eta: my favorite character, Lester Freamon, comes in late in Season 1, iirc.
Thx for the feedback @dmoneybangbang, @Duncan McDonuts, @jiggyfly, and @Buck Turgidson. I'm all for the neverending posturing if the drama can keep up. Chess used to analogize hood life never gets old. This series (so far anyway), Fresh, Wu-Tang... Will hold off on the above videos for now. This thread is great. Have watched all of Ozark, Queen's Gambit, and Ratched this month. All of them worth watching in their own regard.
Lester Freamon is one of the all time great underrated characters, he should have his own show. I am down to the last 3 episodes of Fargo don't think I am gonna like the way this ends, its hard to root for anybody and the nurse is just superfluous at this point. Still a great show, I just think they tried to do to much.
I'm liking Season 2 except the Miguel character has taken a backseat in screen time to other characters so far. I do find it convenient that his personality has reverted back to the way it was prior to last 2 episodes of Season 1.
I've become obsessed with "Veep", even watching those you tube break downs about the show and I never do that. Jonah is a riot.
We're four episodes in and I'm starting to burn out. It's like... okay, genius with substance problem (check), vague and awkward romantic interest (check), lead actress makes weird faces for half of every episode (check mate). Mrs. B-Bob loves it though.
Just binged through Voices of Fire on Netflix. Six episodes on a church in Virginia wanted to put together a large gospel choir comprised of multigenerational and multicultural singers. Decent background stories of a handful of the singers, the pastor, choir director, singing coach and music director. We like gospel music so we enjoyed it but wouldn't give it more than a 7 (one small complaint... would have been better if they included more of the choir performing as a choir and less focus on the solos). Pharell Williams comes in and out of the series (he is the nephew of the pastor and helped drive the creation of the choir).
lots of commercials and asking for money, but it’s my favorite museum in the world, so I was cool with it. Some of the performances are absolutely top notch and came damn close to feeding my live music need in crappy 2020. Mastodon was a standout. So was Dave Navarro, Taylor Hawkins, Corey Taylor, and Chris Chaney.
