Another data point to keep in mind about a possible rebuild if this season doesnt get it done: outside of Harden, Wall, and Wood, every other player on the roster comes off the books after this season. There is a team option and non-guaranteed deals that go past this season, but it is the exception. Add that to the emphasis on young player signings this offseason and something tells me Stone is trying to put together the pieces to rebuild starting next offseason. 2021 drafter we're looking at likely two, maybe three first round picks now with Washington, Detroit, and Portland, which could easily be combined to trade up or maneuver elsewhere.
So we managed to trade him for the only player whose game I like even less. Great. Now we just wait for wall to have a bad season and trade him and 5 picks for luxury tax savings. From cp3 to john wall in 2 years.
Better yet, let's trade all our healthy guys for Harden and Klay. With Wall and Boogie we become the Houston Achilles.
Wall is LESS EFFICIENT then Westbrook. and then has MAJOR injury problems. We really traded CP 2 first and 2 swaps for Wall and a lotto protected 1st. Un-****ing real.
You forgot about Gordon. We also won't get the Pistons pick since it's lottery protected for like 6 years.
There goes Rockets best option to clear cap to upgrade the 3 and 4 spots. Rockets did NOT need another max PG. Harden is their max PG. EGo could play off guard Rockets needed all star/near all star talent/potential all star talent at 3 and 4. Our greatest challenge is the LAKERS. adding Wall does NOTHING to give Rockets edge on Lakers. Nothing. 32% from 3 is just as much **** as 30% from 3 when talking about a GUARD.
Get ready for the foreseeable future. Our two competing cornerstone players are now Boogie and Wall. Wow. Say bye to the best offensive weapon ever. Smh. only hope is harden wanted this
HAHAHAHA we had a barely tradeable CP3 contract in 2019 and we somehow acquired THE ONLY 2 worse contracts than CP3 within slightly more than a year. Morey just still must be shaking his head in disbelief. AND HE DON'T EVEN WORK HERE
