FYI...still think he sucks, but just making a point! This trade was for the TPE which will get us a much better FA.

Sanon is the new Llull. The torch has been passed.

    Exciting times my friends!

Maybe, he won't refuse to join the Rockets. Whether, he is good enough is another question.

Interesting info JR. Given he's from the Ukraine, I wouldn't discount that as his rationale for playing there. He just turned 21, so its time for him to decide if he wants to be a Euro player or come to the big show in the next few years. In either case, I'm encouraged that Stone finagled an asset from Rivers the FA. https://www.nbadraft.net/players/issuf-sanon/

Meh. I mean, we got something rather than nothing. I’ll take it!

So where's the Llull appreciation thread? The longest tenured Rocket needs some some love.

When he drives he looks just like Westbrook to me. He's jovial like Westbrook, shot looks somewhat like his (not a good thing) and I bet defense is not his forte either. Westbrook Junior!

This guy looks like Russ, but all finishing and no passing.

I honestly don't have much faith on the Rockets developing players like this into great talent.

I think the last time we actually developed some foreign player into someone good was Luis Scola, and everyone else in between has not panned out.

Watching the highlights posted above ....

The one jump shot I saw was UGLY and it came from chest high .... He did get to the rim and finish an awful lot but wasn't particularly explosive in doing so.

    Probably not an NBA player.

The TPE was the main asset in this deal and it probably expires unused.

Whats crazy to me is Rivers opted out of his option and still only got 3.2M a year...basically vet min. And its on a crappy dumbass team like the Knicks who paid Randle 19M a year.

Why dont people pay this dude? He aint a star but he is a capable bench player, he should get more than that on the market wtf. Rivers is so much better at actually winning games than Randle.

Scola went to the NBA at age 27, being one of the best players outside the NBA at that time. MVP of the spanish league in 2005 and 2007. Not much development there...

He may jump at the chance to learn from Westbrook. Can't see a longterm fit unless he learns how to shoot.

Exactly. Complaining about this is like a homeless man begging for a Heineken and getting pissed when you give him a free Natural Light.

Llull and Morey are the same thing for Houston.. lots of potential that never came to fruition. Good riddance to both! Give me Stoner and Issuf all day!
