Why do we care to give him a run? Why didn’t we just trade him? Wtf?

Good thing we gave up that extra draft pick to get him in the deal.

eta: it was a ****ing 2nd round pick; and I remember certain people telling us how that made the trade so much better

Oh, and "mutual parting" is a funny way to put things. "Conscious uncoupling" anyone?

2 1st round picks and a 2nd rounder for an overpaid LT, with a chokehold on the team's cap space, and an under-utilized WR who is no longer on the team.

This feels like the day after Thanksgiving leftovers from yesterday's feasting; if it was left uncovered on the counter overnight

With Coutee looking a bit better the past few weeks, we had to expect this.

Don't have any stats, but Tunsil has been solid so far. I don't think he's overpaid at all.

Nah, it's because they weren't going to bring him back next year anyway due to Coutee being a MUCH cheaper option that can give you basically the same or better production.

A player can be good and still be overpaid. I dont have any problems with his play but he is paid like he came and solved all the O Line problems. And his pay is highlighted because not only did he cost draft picks that the team need to add talent next year; he is also costing cap space to add talent in free agency. I think Tunsil is very good but that is a lot to pay to get him.

Deshaun and Matthew Stafford were the only 2 kneeling for the anthem. My natural reaction to seeing Matthew Stafford kneeling for the anthem:

How crazy was that. His cute wife had just gone on a very entertaining rant about being oppressed.

Complicated situation with Stills. He had that natural chemistry with Watson but just found himself just there this season. I don't think his mind was in football. He was one of the players that wanted to opt out with the covid rule . Nothing wrong with that.

Well, you have to consider the GM the team had at the start of the season....and from what I understand they tried to move Stills at the deadline, but no one wanted him. Every team probably realized that he'd either be cut or be available as a FA in the off-season, and at best Stills is a 3rd or 4th WR, not a difference maker.

the first thing I do as new GM is to rework tunsils deal. He’s going to spread some of that guarantee and I’m building in run blocking metrics for him to hit all his guarantees. He will do it here or elsewhere. He knows he’s not replicating he current deal.
