I think we need to have some more fun with our debates. In your opinion, what do you think of Houston's kolache scene? I am going to say it... my number one go to is a jalepeno ham and cheese at Shipley's, even though other options exist.

I like the prasek and brisket ones at River Oaks Donuts, whose owner is also one of Trump's top donors (seriously), MAGA!

I'm split, the asian donut places have the nice light/sweet dough recipe that WOULD go well with smoky meats, but they skimp on sausage quality. Usually traditional good ones where you get quality meat, the bread is too dense for my liking. Honestly I prefer even eckridge lil smokies in kings hawaiian rolls than most, much less shipley's. But yes I agree with this sentiment in general. The kolache shop is a popular one in my area, south brazoria county.

I fancy myself a breadmaker, and have some great smoky deer sausage rn. If I weren't in the middle of eating other stuff season, this might have inspired me to try to make my own.

Shipley's and Kolache Shoppe are my go to places. Any kolache with jalapeno will do it for me.

klobasnek is not used widely in Texas... we just call it all kolaches bro. And damn man your klobasneks idea sounds epic. Maybe the best in the Houston area will be in your kitchen!

Anyways, the people that use the sausage with tiny specks of cheese inside them and call them “sausage and cheese kolaches” are worse than Hitler.

That’s the most rigged poll I’ve ever seen.

    Talk about a fake election.

The best kolaches and klobasniki in Houston are about 90 miles outside of Houston. The best in Texas are in West.

Czech Stop and Slovacek's are my 2 favorites up there. Best in Texas.

Hruska's in Ellinger is the one I was talking about 90mi from Houston.
