Doubt it, but his mind wouldn't be in it. Probably gonna put up 30,6,6 on 60ts anyway

So who's this man's source? Mike D'Antoni? Daryl Morey? Guys that we pissed off and want to get their hands on Harden? The moves the Rockets are making are not moves of a team trying to just rebuild. There wouldn't be talk with Cousins or trying to add a vet Center if we were truly rebuilding. Harden is def pissed we are trading away his peeps. It makes sense. These signings had alot to do with his word to his peers that they would get paid and part of something bigger. Also if they were fully intent on rebuilding without harden they would have already jumped the gun on a westbrook trade. They also don't want a cancer running rampant within the team with the fresh new faces. This is still very much so Harden's team until he leaves and he knows it. John Lucas signed as an Assistant coach too? Yes Silas is a great coach for rebuilding but he would also make an excellent coach for a team that lacked creativity and structure. Saying things that they are saying only makes it more difficult us to get top free agents that their team wants to acquire. Also we could have sent Harden to Golden State or Minnesota for their picks and Kat when we had the chance. When Westbrook and Harden said they don't want to play with this team maybe they wanted Houston to burn the whole system down and rebuild it into something that would help them win. Hence the fire sale of everyone but Harden and Westbrook currently. I do still hope they find a way to pay Tucker though. That man has the biggest pair of balls this team has lacked in years!

Obviously it was Morey that leaked Harden wanting to be traded.

It seems Harden calling CAP on the demand was legit

A Harden extension right now would make this the perfect off-season...

Means nothing. If you were Harden, why wouldn't you take $50 million guaranteed and then still ask to be traded after? That doesn't stop it from happening. Look at Paul George and okc

a harden extension would be great. Literally even if he’s disgruntled and u decide to move on he can’t scream he won’t play there and be a flight risk and the deals will be much much more competitive. I said this is another thread but if I was a rockets fan my worst fear is harden realizes a nets deal is dead THIS season, so he plays nice and then demands out next year.......he’d have all the leverage and force his way to the nets for that pu pu platter

This seems like more of a D'Antoni move. He's pissed! He also has more connections to the sports media. This means war!

I wonder how is that supposed to change in a year though, the Nets are actually at risk of losing Dinwiddie and Allen in a year, Prince (fwiw, he has no value anyway) will be expiring, LeVert with only two years left, their package will in fact get even worse.

Waiting for the reports to say "Harden has changed mind, committed to Houston" before I call this off-season a W. Just because we plan on keeping him doesn't mean he wants to be here.

It’s challenging to put a team around him now; if he takes more of the cap space the TEAM will be even less effective. Maybe Harden should cut his pay and contend for a championship not raise it and then cry he has no help. He makes more money on endorsements than the NBA already. So maybe with a ring more endorsements will follow making him even more money long term. Both Michael Jordan and LeBron James did this.

You know, that's what I've been thinking. Can't tell if I was just being optimistic, but could see Morey and/or MDA leaking in order to create disfunction. That would be pretty petty, but perhaps they had enough of Fertita.
