Boogie in his sleep is a 15/7 type so if he is even remotely healthy we are talking about a 18/9 player either off the bench or as a starter for the fricking vet minimum. Harden the GM doing work
Tucker has really slowed down laterally to play sf. He might be the odd man out here which is sad given his loyalty and services to this team. If anything maybe, Tucker can play the 5 with Wood playing sf and being the primary held defender in the paint. I don't know how it would work but I think it's better than having Tucker at sf. He's aged and has gotten meatier. Just can't hang with quicker small forwards at this stage of his career.
If Boogie can somehow return to form, watch out. Harden/WB will be staying and Rockets will be in the Playoffs
The rockets are more “small ball” ready than they were before. Our bigs can actually shoot threes now and boogie is a great passer at the 5. Boogie to wood lob threat all day.
It’s a gamble we have to take. Other vet min guys in the market don’t really move the needle. Good job Rafael!
This is cool. The little town I grew up in, Spanish Fort, Alabama is where his family lives. You can just walk up to their house or whatever. I’ve seen him and his brother around. I’ll be sure to tell him to be great for us
It definitely looks like they are going to run it back. I think I'm happy about the decision. Maybe Harden can have a Hakeem like 94 season where the off-season prior it looked like the entire team was about to blow up but then magically they won back to back rings.
Yeah, and i was always a fan of Boogie's talent, but still, he hasn't been playing for almost two years after he got really bad injuries, and on paper i don't know how they'll make this work, on both ends, and also on and off the court, i really wish some good luck to Silas, cause he's going to need that, and a lot of patience too lol.
As much as I like PJ I would hate that. I don't know that he's fast enough to guard on the perimeter at his age, especially with presumably a Harden/Russ backcourt. We need a wing that can lock up opponent's best player. I also think someone who can create or slash, basically more than just spot up for 3 would help the flow of the offense. Christian Wood can do some of that, but I'd like House, EG or even Sterling Brown depending on his defensive impact, starting at the 3. Signing Batum to a vet min would be underrated as well.
