The guy is a total crackpot. If he were smart or normal, he'd be doing things to have people remember him in a good light - maybe reelect him in 2024 if the dems blow it. He should be pushing for a new Covid bill, working on food bank issues (throw some frozen turkeys like he did paper towels - heads up!), giving vaccine deployment updates - you know - doing his job. I know he has 0 feelings for people that don't feed his ego but at least make it seem like you care so that you look better. That’s some high level of BS. Trump is just a sore loser who can’t admit defeat and don’t mind burning down the country fighting a losing cause because he got plenty of supporters like this republican Senator tolling the line. Yes, these people are as responsible. When he lost to Cruz, he said it was stolen, full of fraud and should be nullified. When he lost the popular vote to Clinton, he said it’s full of fraud from illegal voting. When his inauguration has less people attended than Obama inauguration, he makes up number and wouldn’t stop lying about it. On and on. None of that is before any of this Russian or impeachment stuff. Most of Trump supporters will see not see through all that BS or refuses to and feels it’s justified.
It will also give the Trumpers something to point to and rile up people even more it would add oxygen to the fire. Nothing that committee would find would change anybodies mind and would distract form doing the work that actually needs to be done. There is no conspiracy its all just people saying crazy **** and trying to get people to go along with them, you cannot start a coup by press conference. Its obvious there is no coherent plan and just people flailing wildly, the people who are listening to that will never change their minds and the people saying it don't care about repercussions. He is not teflon he will be facing many criminal charges and probably go broke in the next 2 to 3 years. He will probably lose more than he gained by being president.
What kind of deal could they make? Biden really has no power to gurantee anything and Trump and his people know that. Can you imagine the **** storm that would happen among the democratic party is even a hint of a deal leaked out? This would be just as bad as what democrats have been wailing about with Trump and Barr. I'm sorry but none of this deal making makes sense for any of the parties involved IMO.
I don't think there is anything that could be really done legally, we do have the 1st amendment. Unless there is an active plot for him not to leave after the inauguration its just words.
This is the real reason for all of this rigamoroll, it's actually pretty simple why Trump is doing this, money.
Sadly in some aspects the more he gaslights his base the radical they will become. So in a way he is creating a very dangerous situation which in the future might manifest in a deadly domestic terrorist act. His undermining of the constitutional norms of his office will be felt for years to come. He is a threat to the democratic process by undermining the faith of the electoral process the very foundation of democracy in this country.
