The guy you want for Westbrook is Paul George, even if it means giving them picks, too. Barring that, get Ibaka and roll with Westbrook/Harden/Tucker/Wood/Ibaka.
The proven destroyer of teams is Blake Griffin. And he has never even been a MVP, as worthless as that may be according to you.
You have apparently spammed this board for 20 years. You have a quite simplistic reactionary view of everything. Whether it be basketball. Baseball. Try shutting up. DD
So trade a guy that put up 27/8/8 for a guy we know that’s 100% washed and will be hurt by mid January? Gotcha
Westbrook has never legitimately been the MVP and he's destroyed every team he's ever been on..... including his current one after just one season. The guy is overrated trash, always has been
You mean those OKC numbers when guys like Adams would screen a defender so WB could get the rebound and inflate his numbers - instead of just grabbing it himself? C'mon man, when WB was up against Harden for MVP we all pointed out how disingenuous his #s in OKC were... and we're calling Drummond, Wood, Markief and Kennard and bunch of talent? lol... ok man... whatever fits the narrative I guess...
Wood is the guy we traded away our SECOND BEST postseason player RoCo just so we could sign HIM for 41M. Kief was a player CF was begging for us to sign/trade for at trade deadline last season. Same with Kennard. And Drummond is top 6 in steals and blocks as a center. Not to mention is a double double machine, averages almost 3 assists and has been NBA rebounding champ 4 of last 5 years. Has also received DPOY votes last 2 seasons. This is the same Blake Griffin that LED the most talented team in the WEST with HOF coach, 3 perennial All Stars (Blake, CP3, DJ), great complementary starters (JJ Reddick, Paul Pierce, J Crawford, Luc, Jeff Green) and deep talented bench (Baby Davis, Matt Barnes, Austin Rivers, Jared Dudley, Reggie Bullock, Darren Collison, Danny Granger) yet never made it to the WCF even ONCE even though they were favored to win it all many seasons.
You don't know that at all, but Russ has had more surgeries on his Knees than Griffin - which do you think is the greater risk? Griffin is a much more fundamentally sound player than Russ - I believe those players last longer for a reason. Francis was out of the league as his athleticism went away.....Russ is on that same path, he will get a longer leash because he plays HARD during the regular season which inflates his stats.... IN the playoffs he is a liability....I don't give two ***** for the regular season. DD
I've been in the Russ is overrated camp for a long time and absolutely hated the trade the second it was announced and I saw the picks. But he was legitimately great from the time we traded Capela until the league shutdown for COVID and the Wood pickup should allow him the same freedom to operate while also having a more legitimate big man. He was awful in the playoffs but you can probably put a good bit of that on him starting late due to COVID and the injury. The injury risk is real, but Blake's injury risk is much higher and his ceiling with this current roster is a lot lower than Russ' as well. The only real plus is one less year on his deal, but if the philosophy is to blow it up I'd rather just take back Wall and get some assets.
We were still losing with Westbrook on the court by himself. Russ has been bad in the playoffs for a long time. He can be better, but if that being better is 50-55 TS%, its not happening for us. Dude has to be able to learn how to shooot.
When was the last time Blake played a full or atleast a season without missing a large chunk of it? If he were healthy yeah he fits amazingly well with Harden but the health factor is huge
