If the deal doesn't include Wood in a S&T it is baffling to lose Covington for such a small return.

i wouldn’t trade Gordon and Tucker for Horford unless Thybulle was attached. Now that’s not a possibility. Bazley would be interesting though.

If Harden leaves, getting Woods is meaningless and I dont care. There is no reason to have him here unless we are keeping Harden. When Harden leave we will be bad, and he'll be here with us for 4 years tanking and wasting his career. I guess he would be good as a trading piece later when we continue to suck? I hate that I have to talk like this........

    Poor guys.

Anyone who still thinks Harden will give it his all and that be enough, I can only say that is entirely up to you.

He has chosen, he will only play to get out of here and that's 80% of his old self if we are lucky.

LA would play 110 percent to defend their title.

    Not the same ballpark.

Ehh Wood has good lateral quickness. Horford not so great lateral quickness, but he isn’t really really terrible for a 5... Dunn is great at both on ball and laterally.. he would likely play 25 minutes a night, but he doesn’t shoot well.

I don’t think it would be as bad as you think.... Dunn and Nwaba both are excellent defenders as well.

    I get your point though

Wood with Simmons would be the second best 4/5 tandem in the NBA. (If LeBron and Davis are willing to play 4/5) We would be the opposite team that we’ve been in the Harden ERA.

James Harden plays for James Harden and he has a lot of pride. I don’t think Harden will be a Rocket long, but above all else he wants to win. As long as he is on the floor he will play hard. He has always practiced and played hard....same with Westbrook.

yeah. I will admit that as the day has gone on, I’ve become somewhat more pessimistic. He will likely get a better offer than ours, and I don’t see a way for us to up ours given that Detroit only has early bird rights.

We don’t have to wait much longer, so that’s nice.

Morey is overrated. He was unable to acquire Wood after the Pelicans cut him. All he had to do was to trade Capela and the 1st for Covington via the Hawks after that. He thinks he is smarter than everyone else.

Winning cures all. I am hopeful we can get a big or two and the dynamic duo can take us to the promised land and our team from governor to players down to janitors can all learn to live work play and win together.

I might be setting myself up for pain later on but the completely incomprehensible nature of the last few moves have me hopeful that something is in the works. Like we can't actually be that bad right? Right?

I think Morey is pretty good but not perfect. Part of the problem is that the organization lacked depth in the player development and scouting department... the Rockets wouldnt spend the money to improve it. Also the Rockets needed another executive with a background playing basketball.

When Harden leaves, the team will be in the wilderness for years.

It has nothing to do with it. I was talking playoffs mainly where he wasn't always playing well.

I agree that WB has to be engaged to the end otherwise Harden is coasting with nobody leading. Looks like NY and Hornets are not prioritizing him.

Also WB was not amused about not being used more, only as 2nd option, this doesn't bode well either.

I think they're friends but they do not agree every time on court either.

Maybe. Or you could say we diminished the value of one 1st round pick to dump salary to use the MLE. That’s basically what the FO has said.

we are all crossing our fingers that there’s more to this. I hope there is.
