Trust Fertitta? Do you trust TRump? lol All I know is.... James hasn't won anything here. We gave him opportunities to pound the ball and dictate team moves he wouldn't have anywhere else. WE made him. WE gave him that chance and let him see what he could do. Nobody has to like the truth but it is. We haven't won in 25 year but we have been competitive. We've been to a conference finals before we got Harden. He a awesome cornerstone talent but not the end all be all or else we've would have broke through and won. Then wouldn't be running. Not only that...... apparently not too many people want to play with James Harden.

He's more of a winner than Harden. It was Josh Smith, the bench and Dwight that got past the Clippers that series not Harden. He doesn't have the heart. Then he still gets McHale fired. Harden can't get out of his own way.

Don’t think we could get anybody better then Simmons really.

Now or even in the future.

    Take the deal.

Philly or Nets need to get some 3rd teams involved in hopes of getting high picks. 1st rounders are good but much better with higher odds.

How is he "more of a winner" than Harden when neither has a title? Plus CP3 has lost twice to teams led by Harden. The bench won a game, WHICH IS THEIR JOB! But check the series numbers and tell me who closed Game 7 of that series. Mchale is a good ole boy idiot who hasn't won anything since he left Boston & he had KG FOR YEARS! Did KG have "heart"? Bottom line, the Rockets organization hasn't built a championship team in 25 years.

lol Harden was on the bench for that comeback. That's why he's a good ol' boy?

I could take a glass half full approach on trading Harden before he declines if we end up getting a Paul George like haul and we hadn't made the Westbrook trade or honestly even if we just had our pick this year but still had to give up the future picks. Not because "JAMES HARDEN WILL NEVER WIN A TITLE" but because this draft is supposed to be loaded, a rebuild is coming pretty soon, and this team probably isn't going to be good enough to win a title as presently constructed, though I'm not ruling it out and I'd still prefer to run it back to see what Silas can do.

But trading him still in his prime in a year where we'll get Miami's pick unless we're in the top 4 is as big as you can get for a gut punch.

No said he is "the end all be all" but the guy has helped this organization be relevant. The organization didn't build a championship squad. PERIOD. Only 4 Organizations have won the West in the last 21 years, if you exclude Harden's OKC team. So it's not easy to win. The organization hasn't gotten it done in 25 years. That's the truth sorry. If trading Harden, which I personally think it's time to blow it up, gets us closer to a title then so be it. But Fertitta is going to have to lead with the way he allows the organization to be run to win a championship. Believe it or not, it's a lot more complicated than one guy "having heart".

We made him relevant. Lol Dude was coming off the bench before we got him. His own team didn't even believe in him. We validated and signed the check. Eased his mind. We gave him that opportunity. This was a storied franchise before Harden. We know how to find talent, you see where we got Hakeem. Where we got Yao from. You see Harden is here in the first place. Act like you know.

Yes, and in the previous season Lebron didn't make the playoffs without AD. AD never went anywhere without Lebron. You certainly have to have talent surrounding your star in order to win a title.

The 15 years before Harden got here were so amazing. Replacing him and getting right back in contention should be really easy.

James Harden in another disappointing CHOKER playoff run: 29.7 ppg, 7.7 apg, .636 TS%
Jamal Murray in a BREATHTAKING BREAKOUT playoff performance: 26.5 ppg, 6.6 apg, .626 TS%
    Why can't we have a nonchoker like Lebron: 27.4 ppg, 8.7 apg, .647 TS%

"you CAN'T win with Harden" is a ridiculous premise, seeing as how we were inches away in 2018 when there was an actual defense around him instead of a squad of one-dimensional shooters who can't shoot with "luxury tax savings" stamped on their jerseys.

Ok, CP3 was talent surrounding Harden just like Harden was talent surrounding CP3.

We weren't contenders w/o CP3, and we got CP3 because we were the only team willing to pay him the super max at his advanced age.

Who is WE? Well WE need to build another champion. Because it's been a quarter century since WE have done it. And WE didn't win it with YAO either. And WE maybe irrelevant for a while while we rebuild. And WE have a cheap owner who doesn't appear to be all in on winning. Which means WE will have to draft another star, because WE won't get one otherwise. Act like you know.
