One talking point I don't understand from Trumpers is that they claim all these cases that Trump is losing doesn't matter because in the end, he'll just go to the Supreme Court and have the election overturned. It's like they have no comprehension how all this works.

I think it’s time for Nancy Pelosi to make a prime time address and announce a special committee similar to the 9/11 commission to investigate an illegal plot to conspire to overturn an election. That’s power that Dems have now to scare Trump into backing down. A special committee will have elevated subpoena power to investigate and also take the pressure off of Bidens new AG. If the special committee finds charges are warranted it gives the ability to hand over directly to a special prosecutor and then charges can be filed and Trump conspirators can get arrested for this nightmare. Yes the constitution has the 12th amendment where this is legal to do, BUT just like with any law, if you use with corrupt intent, it’s almost always illegal. Plus there is almost surely bribery, and other corruption charges that are likely pretty blatantly obvious. You can’t just attempt a Coup in the United States of America and think we all can just laugh it off. If there is no legal price to pay then this will happen again and again and next time it won’t be an embarrassment like Rudy G leading the Coup. It’ll be someone much more capable of pulling it off.

I don't believe there is anyone in the trump side that actually believes he actually won the election, at least on the basis of most votes or even electoral votes received. This is all an effort to delay and create sufficient noise within his own base to justify overturning the election. If this was happening in any other country, heck, any other time here in America, people would be outraged. But republicans have bought into trump and the need to keep power.
