I mean the guy is illegally meddling with election certification officials, he is breaking the emoluments clause every single day in office - and there are numerous other infractions as well.

Let's impeach him again, to get his focus off the meddling - I mean the guy is a menace - and doesn't give two ***** about the law, or this country - he is terrified of going to prison - let's impeach him again!

    Nope.

Far to many other pressing matters and what does impeachment actually get you?

Seriously, I would start Impeaching him, Impeaching Barr, and start the process of tossing all of his enablers which broke the law with him into prison.

The *additional* grounds for impeaching Trump that have arisen SINCE HIS LAST IMPEACHMENT TRIAL off the top of my head

    1. Inviting foreign interference in elections again
    2. Pardon/Commutation of ROger Stone, Flynn machinations etc
    3. Post office hijinks
    4. About a billion Hatch act violations
    5. Pandemic - literal blizzard of lies and suppression of guidance, politically intering with CDC, recklessly having dozens of superspreader events WHILE COVID19 CONTAGIOUS HIMSELF!
    6. All kinds of current election interference

And that's just the things I can think of! I'm probably forgetting a lot!

This would just add to his list of grievances.

The Senate Rs won't even talk to Trump about conceding, so there zero chance that they would move an impeachment.

I think Trump realizes at this point that this will not happen. All of this theater only helps energize his supporters and creates a narrative of corruption that he'll exploit after he leaves office and pursues his media ventures. Everything in the end works out for him. No accountability.

trump deserves to be impeached, I wouldn't argue that, but on January 20th we'll have a new president (thank god). trump will be facing a world of hurt after he's out of office. It's why he so desperately trying to steal the election. Time to run out the clock. At this point, I think trump is lining his pockets, playing the grifter in the White House while he still can.

    I agree

It will put him on the defensive. All he does is attack attack attack at every turn so you have to keep him busy with other things because he's going scorched earth regardless. It might minimize or slow down some of the damage he's trying to inflict.

Have to stop playing these chumps scared. You have to go on the offensive.

I'm all in for sending Trump to prison. There is not a lot of people that I hate, but these mfs are deserving on scorn: Trump, Moscow Mitch, Lady G, Rudy Giuliani aka Dracula, and Ted "the Coward" Cruz.

No. The better course would be announcing a Special Committee similar to the 9/11 Commission to investigate and report to Justice & the American people the conspiracy to overthrow the 2020 election.

This would be a public corruption, bribery, extortion, and conspiracy scheme noted in the mandate to the team of investigators who will have subpoena power.

You won't get indictments YET with Barr still on as AG, but you'll set in motion the investigative process that could scare the living hell out of Trump confidants & stop them in their tracks knowing they are being investigated & that this is not something that Barr can shut down on his way out. You can also appoint people outside of Congress such as a Bob Mueller (although I doubt he'd be considered) to lead the investigation much like the Warren Report in regards to the JFK Assassination's.

I think a Special Committee announcement with high profile pit bull prosecutors announced would have the most impact that Democrats can do with the power of the House.
