It makes no sense to keep WB and Harden then. They’re trying to revamp the roster. Let’s see what they can pull off

That happens to players when they play with WB

Not really, he can’t shoot, nor was he defending or rebounding well. Once, his P/R is taken away , he becomes pretty useless. His foot injury precludes any further growth too.

Too soon to say. Let’s wait to judge once the opening day roster is in and even then it might be too soon to call.

The first from Detroit is heavily protected .... It's top-16 protected for the next four years, top-10 protected the following two years and then top-9 protected. After that, it becomes a second.

They were 13th in the East last year .... and 26th overall.

So they game up a guaranteed 16th pick today for no better than the 17th pick in one of the next 4 drafts - IF it conveys.

    At this point. Roco. Obviously.

I liked the Ariza trade only because I thought we would rebuild and that was a good rebuild move. Since we're not rebuilding...we're certainly not contending...just around to boost Tilman's ego.

Imagine you are James Harden now. Imagine they tell you "You're going to play for us, we're going to run this back," and then they trade Roco for your boy Ariza...then imagine they trade Ariza for LTX...now imagine the Rockets saying "We hope to convince Harden to stay!" What a joke.

The funny thing about it? I bet the Rockets with Roco would have gotten off to a hot start because of the familiarity of the team by now and also playing in the bubble means they won't be as rusty as most of the teams that didn't.

If this isn't some bigger move to get Gordon or Griffin or anything I can't imagine how they plan to sell this to Harden.

Well, Frank N, Dennis Smith and Elfrid Payton. Rumor was they wanted Chris Paul and then push for Westbrook.

At #8 I think PG might have been a greater need since they have J Randall and Portis.

Then they draft a 6’3” shooting guard in Emmanuel Quickley???

They are still hunting for a vet PG. Maybe not drafting yet another young PG means they are planning for Russ.

One thing thats being overlooked is that Detroit Pick could be pretty good down the line... Have they announced any protections on it?

Harden turning down the extension was a huge piece to this puzzle.

The other huge piece was trading Covington.

These are burnt bridges, its ****ing over.

It gives us a player that can later be flipped for draft picks. That's how we should use this MLE. Now whether or not we have an owner willing to spend to do that is a different story.

Harden had his chance to win and he blew it year after year if he leaves thanks for the memories but the goal was always the ship and he never delivered so lets not act like its the end of a dynasty here

Harden is the best thing to happen to this franchise since Hakeem. As much as I like winning, I hate losing more. And burning the bridge with Harden means a lot of losing.

Let's not make it seem like Tillman has done a great job here.

Well they like VanVleet as well.

In the morning prior to the draft, local sports talk radio show near me was going off on Halliburton. The guy was saying
he thinks Halliburton might be the best player in this draft. His shot is a little odd looking, kinda like Shawn Marion; but
when he gets his feet set underneath him.....he is usually money. He was praying that his favorite team, the Knicks,
    would select him.

Halliburton was available and so was Lewis.

VanVleet? You know the Knicks, they have to make a slash! Westbrook?
