    Yes yay. This draft ass is weak and I'd much rather invest in a future draft rather than gambling on a potential bust halfway down the board. Plus, it frees up space to be a shopper in free agency. This trade is solid.

    That would be ideal. Lottery for the next 4 seasons, and then the 11th worst team during that 5th or 6th year...

    Then the trade will be a SCORE.

    Not lottery. It is top 16 protected for the first four years.

    But the issue is that Detroit sucks and will likely suck for a long time. So the pick will probably never convey to us until year 8 when it turns into a 2nd rounder.

    They way fans are starting to sound I wouldn't be surprised if a Landry's restaurant got robbed or burned down in the next three days. All that would do is make this team worse though lol.

    The pick is top 16 protected for 4 years!

    Then top 10 protected for another 2 years.

    Top 9 protected for 1 year and turns into second rounders after that.

    The likelihood that the pick is better than the 16th pick is not great and even if it is, it won't be for at least 4 years from now.
