The worst thing about this is we are stuck with tilman... the team is never going to pay for better players.

Tilman trying to save money not make money.... super soft...

Not without the 16th pick which they just flushed away.

it’s nothing new. It’s about saving money, just like every other bad-to-horrible decision since Fertitta bought the team.

Anyone here that’s mad at anyone else here who, after years or decades of rooting for this team, has quit rooting for them should keep in mind that Fertitta has done all he could in service of money over contending. The trade demands are over not wanting to spend their last good years on a team that’s trying to lose so the owner can save money.

I’m not just okay with Harden over his trade demand. As a Harden fan, I’m damn happy he’s doing it.

And not only do I think it’s reasonable for true Rockets fans to take a break until he sells—I actually can’t imagine how any fan of this team can root for them while they’re owned by someone that is hellbent on destroying it.

I just HATE trading this pick away in a draft with so much unknown. And man...It's weird seeing the Rockets dump salary, but that's where this team is at.

Trying to wrap my head around this.

The Rockets are punting this pick indefinitely to dump Ariza's contract, but are still effectively paying $4.6 mil of that contract. We get the full MLE now, but we all know Tilman won't use it.

So we're punting a first round pick indefinitely just to save something like $2-5 mil of Ariza's contract??? Pathetic.

Yeah, unfortunately Stone works for Tilman. He doesn’t really have much of a choice but to do exactly what his boss tells him to do. I’m sure that’s why Morey left, and it’s hard to blame him.

Also, I feel bad for Harden, he's spending his next 2 years here on teams that will have 0 shot at winning.

Tilman is not going to let him go even if it's for the future of the team. He's going to milk him for all the jersey sales and merch he can.

Why would a rebuilding team want Ibaka?

But unlike Morey, who worked behind the scenes to keep Rockets competitive, Stone is a Tilly enabler and he slurps TF's ass because he enjoys the platform hes been given.
