Tilman don’t want no high pick. The salary would be too much

Couldn’t we have accomplished this by not guaranteeing Arizas contract and keeping our pick?

Freeing up cap space for ****ing what?
Harden is leaving and we just flipped RoCo on a good contract to free up money for player's who would never want to play for this BS owner. **** this piece of **** owner.

I’m just hoping we sign Christian Wood or Ibaka or Gallinari.

Tillman Fertitta is on a mission to destroy a $2B professional BB team!

The fact the pick is worthless gives a lot of credence to the idea that this was a salary dodge.

    Gallinari for RoCo.

    That is truly despicable.

Even Wood is not better than RoCo.

Absolute bullshit. Just sell the team if you can't afford to run it, douche.

Wood makes sense for a rebuild. But Ibaka or Gallinari do not.

LOL at the protections on that pick

we basically just gave our 1st round pick away to Detroit for free

What do we have to show for trading Covington? A protected 1st in next year’s draft? That’s it?

man, immediate slaps for the whole front office ASAP...

They ain’t gonna use the full MLE and hard cap themselves (in the name of “flexibility”)

And they damn sure ain’t gonna use that trade exception. (Remember like the 8 they had last year that went unused...even if they were all for $3M or less.)

I can't get this out of my mind what is more valuable the #16 or Eric Gordon?

You couldn't just dump Gordon? Even for a second round pick? Really? I seriously doubt he's worth the 16th pick but come on now.

If the intention really is to open up cap space, Gordon makes more than Covington why not trade him instead of #16 + Ariza.

Just horrible logic. Am I missing something?

It likely won’t for the first 4 years if the 1-16 protection really does go that long. Trust me..not happy about that either. The likelihood it never conveys is pretty low.

This is almost as bad as the Hopkins trade. That’s hyperbole... but that’s how disgusted I feel with this move. Or this combination of moves starting with the Capela trade.

almost on the edge of losing complete interest in this team.

No, it’s what it feels like to have an owner that is bleeding money like crazy during the pandemic and forces cost-cutting moves on his front office.
