Not with a crying, sulking, unhappy, out of shape Harden that doesn't move on defense. Small ball necessitates effort to win games. This team will get crushed when morale is at an all time low to start the season. I'm guessing sub 40 win this year.

He is absolutely NOT saying that. He's obviously being sarcastic and saying that they are going to run game in the Houston nightlife scene, which will give James Harden more satisfaction than winning a championship.

He is in shape and would play. And you are thinking of last season's game plan with small ball, they are not going to have that as their major game plan this time around, the new coach has already said that. Different coach and GM means different game style

I feel like everyone is writing off Wall because of an Achilles injury when most people expect Durant to make the Nets contenders who is coming back from the same injury.

One relies on athleticism to do pretty much everything on the court. If he doesn't recover well, he could be out of the league.
The other has one of the purest shot in NBA history. Oh, he's al so a 7 footer. If he doesn't recover well, he's still a reliable scoring option..... just not a superstar anymore.

    Maybe we dont
Hopefully we wouldn’t have to keep Wall any longer than a year.

That's wrong. He is saying that Wall can help Harden tear up the clubs.

It has nothing to do with on the court play. It is tongue in cheek.

    Reading comprehension: Get some!

He won't move on defense, yet he will lead the NBA in deflections, steals and guard blocks again?

    Amazing skill huh? :D

Thats just alot of gambling on defense. Good NBA defenders don't gamble. They stay solid.
Harden's pet move on defense is that swipe move after he lets a defender walk past him. I hate it before and i'll hate it after he's gone.

If Harden is such a bad defender, why has he been a part of so many great defenses?

2018 was one of the greatest defensive teams of the last 20 years. Last year we were a top 5 defense post Covington trade. How about those isolation defense and post defense numbers???

    What's going on!?!?!?

I'm gonna need some receipts on that post Covington claim.

As for 2018.... we had CP3, Ariza, Luc, Tucker and Capela playing major roles. They were all major plus on defense. Not surprisingly our defense fell off a cliff after they were gone.

good point about the guarantee. it is ironic that they are willing to pay him $13M now and not $15M then. of course paying him more than the minimum back then meant paying the tax. it wasn't really about his worth.

either way 2 picks and an expiring contract are good assets to have. but we the final grade on this trade can only be made when we see what stone does with those assets.

The rockets are above the tax threshold right now with only 10 players under contract
