You can try and hope for these players to be superstars from this draft.
That’s not something I would want.
We were talking about hypotheticals, not what the actual offer was.
Harden is worth more than Brown and two top 5 picks, period. That’s not even the offer.

You brought up future picks, I’m not interested in either offer.

    Huh?
Name one metric that Jrue was better at than Westbrook from this past season

    Player A 35.7% at 5.7 3point attempts a game
    Player B 25.8% at 3.7 3point attempts a game

Player B also takes completely open 3 point shots

I think its perspective and need that factor into both of your evals. Jrue and Russ are different players, but Jrue makes sense for MIL because he's more of a complimentary player on a much cheaper salary. Russ is a one man show and needs a team that can accommodate his style and salary. Depends on what your team needs as to how they'll evaluate the players. MIL obviously valued Jrue very highly to pay the price they did. WB requires a certain style and taste--why I believe NYK should be pursuing him. He would bring them a star and energy that the franchise and Thibs both need.

I’ll keep it simple, who had more points, assists and rebounds as the secondary player?

Sorry i'm with Yolo here on this.
Younger, better 3point shot, better defender, less turnover prone. Basically all the things that are important to the modern PG position.

His career average is 35.4%. Not great but not trash like Westbrick.

I don’t even like Westbrook lol, but to say that Jrue Holiday is a better player right now is just plain idiotic.

    Value? Fit? That’s different

I mean look at his usage rate. you would think someone would be putting up numbers with a rate that high

This is the same logic i referenced above. people have wet dreams about meaningless stats and think that makes them automatically better. that's such a lazy take and obviously wrong

Younger and young are different things.
    He’s not a good 3 pt shooter.
    He is a better defender.
Westbrook is pretty much better everywhere else.

They are hypotheticals...what is reality is that the Rockets don't own their pick until 2027.

So I ask again, Harden leaves in 2 seasons, how do we find our next star player?

Yes, we're talking hypo's I think it would be insane to turn down Brown + two top 5 picks. You're stuck on his value, you never get equal value for an MVP player. It simply isn't happening. That's impossible.

A healthy Westbrook is the superior player. That shouldn’t be a debate. Now putting them on last years team Jrue is a MUCH MUCH better option than Westbrook. They would have won more games and would have made the series a lot tougher against LA.

I agree with it being meaningless, but there’s also no guarantee that extrapolating Jrue numbers out to the same usage means his numbers are close to Westbrook.

What’s lazy is hating on a dude just to hate. Jrue Holiday had a chance to be the man on a bad team last year, did he do anything like Westbrook has ever done?

I agree with you there, I didn’t say I wouldn’t take Brown and two top 5 picks. I’m saying there should be better offers.
