Using other teams to leverage against Morey is a great idea, now they just need to find the teams and the media to do it.
And no a dude posting on some message board or reddit isn't going to work.

You bring up a good point. Now I might be wrong but I haven't seen Shams, Woj, or even Ric Bucher mention Boston as a potential landing spot for James. if that's correct then someone's not doing a good enough job of making Philly sweat.

I think Miami is a wildcard in the Harden Race. Riley is sly and has to be looking at ways to leap frog his comp in the East. He could wait on FA next year or make a move this year to try to trump everyone else. Personally, I like some of the young assets he could offer as well.

Also, just because someone hasn't reported it doesn't mean we're not talking to all kinds of teams. Maybe Stone's OPSEC is really good.

Besides that guy on the Hawks message board, the only mention of Celtics and harden is a bleacher report proposing a trade idea. The celtic reporter from the boston herald has reported there has been no interest thus far.

Stone needs to get in the phone with chicago (lavine, Laurie, picks) nuggets and other teams and start leaking to woj, sham's etc about the plethora of offers.

Morey is a genius at shifting the narrative, stone needs to do the same.

If Giannis signs that super max extension I think you're right, Miami could join the battle. They need to start with Bam and Herro and add picks from there.

    Hopefully this happens

    Wiseman/Brown/filler 2021 1st/2022 1st both unprotected

    Picks #16- Poku
    #32 Scrubb or Pritchard.

    Wiseman
    Brown
    Bridges
    Rozier
    Scrubb
    Poku
    2021 1st
    2022 1st

Has the makings of a good young team.

    Then trade WB for Bridges/Rozier

Unless butler or bam is involve, herro etc aren't enough. But bam would be very interesting.

Perhaps stones op-sec is that good, then it would simply be a failure of strategy and tactics. There's every reason to leak offers in this scenario. Leverage, driving up price due to competition, showing strength of position and options and driving the narrative. Negotiation tactics 101

    Exactly.

Riley DOES usually come out of nowhere...no leaks in that tight ship. Everything is calculated.

Miami doesn't have to give us Herro and picks if they wait a year they can keep those assets and land Giannis or another max guy in FA.

I think in the end, the best offer is Simmons and a ton of picks. or the nets IF they move dinwiddie and levert to a 3rd team that returns us a borderline all star, or a young player with all star potential, or even more picks.

It feels like every team out there is trying to screw us in this deal.

I didn't even post the stein tweet about Morey doing everything to give simmons embid a chance before trading one.

Morey is obviously sending out these nuggets to the media.
