We aren’t contenders in the next 3-4 years, we should take the best package available, Murray and MPJ would be a killer package.

Tilman Fertitta is the owner and his son is the future GM.

You dont need to be Nostradamus to see where this is going.

    Harden = 2 all stars
1 young star is not enough to cover the lost

Well, if that's the case, why even care anymore?

This looks reasonable to the 3 teams to me if we are going to re-build:

    Houston in:
    Julius Randall
    Nicolas Batum
    RJ Barret
    Bobby Portis
    2020 #3 pick via charlotte
2020 Pick via knicks (via LA Clips)
2021 1st round via knicks (via La Clips)
2021 1st round via knicks (via Dallas)
    2022 1st round via knicks
2022 2nd round via knicks (via Charlotte)
2023 1st round via knicks (via Dallas)

    Houston out:
    James Harden
    Russel Westbrook

    Knicks in:
    James Harden

    Charlotte in:
    Russel Westbrook
    #8 pick via Knicks

Why would the Knicks trade all those picks for Harden when they would still be awful and why would Charlotte trade the #3 for Westbrook?

Charlotte would get Westbrook (who they are reportedly interested in and the #8 pick). Knicks would get their superstar. If they are unwilling to trade one of either RJ Barret or Julius Randall you could except other fillers for one of them, but not both. The knicks would then have Harden and cap space to go after another star.

YUCK. None of those picks are getting you a star. The #3 in this years draft might well be a bust, or borderline all star, but those other picks looks to be late 1sts....couple that with a trash teams treasure? I'd legit rather force Harden and Russ to play out their contract and walk after 2 years and just naturally tank for our own shot at the #1 pick in 2023 or have the cap to bring in some other stars.

I don’t agree with you this draft is strong with good quality guards and big men

I don't really know how they could work out a deal with the Nets, even bringing in a third team, who has...and would be willing to give up elite goods in order to get LeVert and Allen as today? The only team i can think of is Charlotte, they have no center (Allen) or shooting guard (LeVert), but the 3rd pick isn't even close to be enough for Harden.

Would you guys be ok with:

    3rd pick
    Bridges or Washington
3 future 1sts with no protection form Brooklyn (Hornets aren't giving up additional, let alone unprotected picks for Allen and LaVert)
    3 swaps with Brooklyn

    ?

    I wouldn't.

Please stop posting stupid trades. Three bad players don't make a good one, three good players don't make a star, and six bad draft picks are worth absolutely nothing.

Westbrick can go for some expiring and a late first.
But for Harden, minimum requirement is a Star(Ben Simmons tier) and a few first.

If its just a bunch of trash(Dimwiddle, Levert, Allen) then i'd rather let it all burn. Atleast we'll get some quality drama instead of.....anonymity and mediocrity.

I hope management doesn't bulge no matter how much Harden punch and scream and cry and sulk everyday.

This is what people aren't getting.

Harden is gone. He's out of here. He turned down a 100 million dollar extension is a clear and obvious sign he's out of here.

I hope all this talk about the Rockets keeping him is just bluster to tell teams to improve their offers but right now they really should take the best offer they can get and move on. Harden's leverage gets better with every passing day and his value goes down.

Keep him for a year and the Nets get to say. "He's only signed for a year so here's a Dinwiddy and a our late first rounder and some filler, enjoy."

I keep seeing posters want all-stars back, turning down top 5 picks...any team getting Harden, Boston, Nets, Philly, these are teams trying to contend.

Ben Simmons sounds like the only all-star we can get...but since Tilman is a petty ass we won't get him. So there goes that.

Yea who cares where he goes. The Rockets should be focused on getting the absolute best return for their investment. It shouldn't matter where we're sending him or which GMs we're dealing with. (Please send him to Philly so i can be a sixers fan)

Yup. they won't need to offer them as much as now because they can just wait for him in the offseason and get him as a UFA
