    Yeah right.

News about Harden knocking back that extension came long after he had requested trades.
Till$ter trying to pretend he's offering big bucks is the more likely read on the scenario.

If he really wants to repair relationships with Harden, Westbrook, Ariza, Tucker, all Rocket fans, more people throughout the NBA, he pays some tax this year. If he wants to go down as the reincarnation of the owner off of the movie franchise Major League, here is is chance to entrench his legacy.

Honestly the man who needs to answer for this is Adam Silver. Why in the ever-loving **** did he approve Les selling the team to this duplicitous piece of ****?? He's over-leveraged to hell and has no intention of ever spending to fund a winner. Why would you plant someone like that as an owner in the 4th largest city in the US?? **** the entire Fertitta family and **** Adam Silver for unleashing this massive turd all over Houston.

Tilman wants to make a profit from the team.
That isn't how owning a pro-sports team works.

At least he never put players on a payment schedule.
    Wait, uh-oh...

    look who owns our trophies.
These teams are a vanity item for rich owners.

I expect them to put out a good product in good faith, or they won’t see a cent from me.
Same as any other entertainment product in this world

What part of the events from the last 2 season's makes you think shutupandlisten is about the vanity? The vanity for him is owning the team and making the calls (ie Westbrook... shudder). He wants it to be profitable now because the restaurant business is tough right now

Tilman to his staff: Do players get unemployment checks if I don't pay them due to the pandemic?

I’ve been in PHX for 19 years and somehow HOU now has a carbon copy of Sarver when he bought the Suns back on 2004. They even have a resemblance

he got into it for the wrong reason. Sports teams are profitable when you sell them, but they don’t necessarily make a profit year-to-year. You manage them like an asset that requires you to sink money into it. It’s a very reliable profit on the back end.

The most overleveraged billionaire. Covid hit him harder than any other owner. Dude is spread too thin financially.

I'm beginning to think that the only reason we hired Silas was because he was the cheapest one on the market.
