Everyone is easy to dump for the right price.

If we attached Harden to get rid of Westbrook 29 teams would be calling us non stop right now.

Same if the Wizards had attached as you said multiple first rounders including a top 10, Rui and other prospects ,Wall would be gone by the end of the day.
They can get back neutral or even slightly positive value back with just half of those.
And the gap between Westbrook's value and neutral or slightly positive is rather huge at this point.

So if the Rockets ask for such a demand just to give them the Westbrook albatross then the Wizards will simply end the call

I'd pull the hell out of that trade. Allows us to build for the future, and teases Harden to stay with the all Geto Boyz squad.

Prepare yourselves for tomorrow when Shams tweets that it's Harden for Wall

Honestly, I don't think there are many teams with the ability to take on both contracts and still remain relevant in their conference.

It's the sweet spot where I say, take the gamble on literally ruining everything and having no choice but to trade Harden for a king's ransom.

any trade is to try to convince him to stay. Wall/Harden would be very formidable if Wall actually stays healthy. If not? Harden wanted out anyways so let Wall be injured for a few years and collect insurance while rebuilding.

You think it's going to be:

    HOU gets:
    - Rui Hachimura
    - 9th pick
    - John Wall

    WAS gets:
    - Russell Westbrook
    - 16th pick?

    Keep the 16th pick

    Wall is literally dead money.

    Excellent analysis,

now tell me any bottom tier lottery teams in NBA history that ever will traded their high lottery picks for a bad contract and hoping they can win a few more games for a early first round exit.

your posts didn’t require any high level analysis...sorry

they are getting rid of Wall who’s an even worse albatross than Westbrook...I guess u didn’t comprehend that

Washington traded the 5th pick in the draft for Mike Miller and Randy Foye because they thought it would make them a playoff team

they would probably offer future picks with some light protections

    next

How many years left on their contracts when the Nets made the trade and what was the "expectation" at that time when the Net was making the trade? A first round exit?

Both of them did not even ranked in the top 2 salaries in that Net team in 2014.

    Name 2013-14
    Joe Johnson $21,466,718
    Deron Williams $18,466,130
    Paul Pierce $15,333,334
    Brook Lopez $14,693,906
    Kevin Garnett $12,433,735

    LOL,

A 28 years old Mike Miller traded from the Wolves to the Wizards in 2009 with one year left in his contract while making less than 8 mils.

"The Wizards will save about $2 million in this deal. They were also able to get a team that would take back Thomas' nasty contract. Thomas will make about $7 million next season and has a $1.2 million trade kicker. Songalia's contract erases more than $4 million in the summer of 2011."

That's a salary dump trade and you are comparing them now with Westbrook's contract?

    Try harder.

You asked what lottery teams traded their picks for early playoff exits. There you go. Boston is forever grateful for giving them the talent they acquired

I’ve been to Japan. For a country usually seen as very crowded, large parts of it are quite beautiful. What they would make of the Rainforest Cafe would be interesting to observe.

Give it up guys. This is just a salary dump. Wizards are trash and rebuilding. You wont be getting any draft picks from them. And tilmens not taking on any contracts so no rui either. tilmen will likely cough up that 16th pick to get the deal done quicker
