Draft picks are very valuable in the NBA but a zillion picks spaced out over years, unlike NFL where you can concentrate them, doesn't seem as valuable. I mean who ****ing cares about the 2027 draft right now?

Doesn't matter. Tilman can't afford this team anyway. Doesn't matter what we do or who we trade for.

I’d tell the Nets to kick sand. There is no reason to be excited about potential lottery picks in the 2023 draft at the earliest, and that only happens if Harden leaves Brooklyn after the 2022-2023 season.

First-round picks are valuable, but this offer from Brooklyn is not good enough. I’m not trading a perennial MVP candidate for a potential lottery pick in the 2024 or 2025 season. Those picks are simply too far away.

That's less horrific than I originally thought but still would rather work with Philly.

That's a bit harsh, c'mon, they are at least mediocre.

Tillman will let all those guys bolt upon contract expiration. 2022 rockets will have the lowest payroll in the league.

Ok what type of player do you think the Rockets would get drafting in the 20s with the nets picks if the trade went down? The chances of getting the talent and the potential of Simmons type are slim to none.

Those kids are 11 right now in Zoom school.

That's what we're trading the NBAs 3 year reigning scoring title holder for

It’s horrific. It’s what the Pelicans just got for an expiring Jrue Holiday who has never made an all-star team. It’s less than what OKC got for a guy the Rockets can’t even give away in Westbrick.

Trading an MVP under contract for multiple years while not getting a single good asset back is horrendous and par for the course under Tilman’s idiotic management.

Nah people just don't see value in players that are not Harden

LeVert will be a star, can easily be an All Star next season. A constant threat to get 40+ in a game

    Ugh.

Dinwiddie and LeVert are both volume chuckers who aren't on great contrracts.
Jarrett Allen is a nice piece - Clint Capela-ish

6 first rounders - well, if that's the best you can get... better make sure there are no protections on those picks. Maybe in a few years time we get lucky and the Nets get injured and finish last.

Apart from a slim hope, there is zero there that is franchise building.
The draft picks might be nice support if we can somehow get a big name free agent to sign here, or could be useful trade bait on that front as well. A slim hope.

    Simmons is not a superstar.

You cannot be a superstar if you cannot create your own shot or be the go to scorer in crunchtime.

Atleast 4 of those picks will be in 25 to 29
Range and Levart, Dimwiddie and whatever scrubs they throw in there doesn’t equate to Simmons and picks from Philly.

This deal will save Scrooge from paying luxury tax and set this franchise back 5 years.

The Thunder got a better original harden deal then what we just got.And you people are blaming Harden and Russ for wanting out?

Isn't it ironic, Harden wants to go to the Nets. He'll re-unite with Nets assistant coach: Mike D'antoni.
