I have criticized Tilman and I hate Les for what he did to Dream, Rudy, the uniforms and the trophies. Les sold the team to Tilman. Look I would like to see tilman sell the team to some rich tech dude like jeff bezos or elon musk obviously this the biggest blunder for Tilman, he deserves it I didn't criticize Les until he made the. uniforms ugly. you have to wait to see how things play out can't arrest someone for looking inside your car I liked Russ, but it didn't work
only blind idiots thought Cuban was a bad owner real fans like yourself knew the Mavs were pure garbage until he took over taking over the Rockets , Les had a championship team built with the greatest player period
Mark Cuban he's been the subject of CF hate for years. I've told everyone he's a better owner than any of ours. but the difference is that the real fans with brains here are few.
What does this have to do with anything I just said? And why are you blaming Les for the failures of a current owner? People blame Tilman for the implosion of the franchise and your first reaction is to defend him and put all the blame on a man who hasn't owned the team for three years. Why? Unless you personally know Tilman, I can't imagine what reason you would have to defend that man at this point. Especially since you just started a thread hours ago trying to call out fake Rockets fans for being upset with the franchise. You know what real fans do? They acknowledge when their front office has done a terrible job, they push for their front office to do better and they keep watching the games because they still love their team. They don't do everything in their power to defend a dumpster fire of an owner amid the single worst offseason in the franchise's history.
Based on what we're seeing I don't think it's just that Tillman is cheap or meddling. I think it's that he's just an ******* in general. Everything we've seen so far from him makes him look like a massive douche. I feel like all these problems are in the personal level maybe not even basketball related at all.
Cuban is also an actual billionaire, not leveraged out the kazoo like Fertitta. Not that I’m a fan of his, but he’s on another planet as an owner compared to Ferntits.
He's Sterling minus the overt racism. Talks a lot about wanting to win, but closes his wallet as he's talking.
The better comparison would be to Sarver's ownership of the Phoenix Suns. He bought the team with a talented roster gift wrapped for him but couldn't stand to just be in the background enough to let the subject matter experts run the ship.
Cuban’s issues were just being kinda arrogant and craving the spotlight as well as the sexual misconduct issues within his organization which was a bad look, but being cheap was never the issue I think Cuban is a great owner we had Harden in his prime, a generational talent and caliber of player that we probably won’t come close to seeing again for a decade+, but all we hear for Tilman’s 1st couple of years is how we need to avoid the luxury tax we keep seeing Patrick Fertitta’s name pop up more and more when it comes to front office decisions...I’m not gonna sit here and act like somebody can’t learn and 1 day become a fine front office executive, especially if they’re passionate, smart, and have great mentors, but he’s what, 24? Yikes
i'd rather have Dolan as team owner at this point..at least we know he aint afraid of spending money.
it could be, but we haven't heard any stories pop out. The knicks owner banned a former player from MSG.
Totally agree, dolan is a great juxtaposition to Tilman. Both are loud blowhards, just one does it with an instrument. Sarver however is probably the more apt parallel since both are unwilling to put their money where their mouths are.
Let's talk about the fanbase. I show up to games when I can. I know the majority of you don't. The Knicks fans show up to MSG regardless if they suck and the owner sucks. The Rockets haven't filled the arena since Dream left and the team pandered to businesses and China. New York <> Houston
This is all Westbrook's fault. He clearly hated it here and showed last year that stars can force their way out. He showed Harden the way. Tilman was arrogant to trade CP3 for him.
