Poor guy's been an NBA GM for one month, and now he's got to navigate a hurried FA signing period in which the two superstars he inherited are both wanting out.

If he can convince them to stay and it doesn't work out, he'll get the blame for not getting value when he had the opportunity. If he pulls the trigger on two trades and doesn't bring in sufficient talent and picks (that he must later turn into usable players), then he's failed the franchise for the next decade.

Most new GMs have a chance to get their feet wet by signing a G-Leaguer or two, but Rafael showed up at work today to find his entire franchise is going up in flames, thanks to his boss.

Good luck, buddy. You're going to need ****-tons of it.

Pressure makes diamonds or bursts pipes.

And these pipes are already leaking.

tilman and his son are gm.
that is why morey wanted out.

morey was set to be waned more and more from the situation as tilman handle the negotiations.

tilman sent his son to follow morey around and learn all he could from a master like morey.

tilman thinks he is the smartest guy in room so now he knows all he can he doesnt need morey. he can have basketball guys like silas harden and stone handle the basketball stuff even the draft.

tilman will be there to do the deals..
tilman is effectively the negotiator and sign off his son as the messenger.

tilman has offered the franchise to harden.
where is harden going to go? a power struggle in brooklyn?
a power struggle in philly with young guys, morey and doc rivers? thats too much personalities..

hardens short list is lakers, miami and clippers.

harden is ok with that and understands if wb wants more and him and tilman dont mix and wb is still mad about house then wb can go..

tilman is gm now. im not going to start a thread on it yet since its fine to talk about it here.

this is the tilman show. im curious what tilman can get for wb and tinker using moreys techniques.
this is like video game gm stuff

Bro how is it that there are SO MANY "insiders" within our organization. Why are there so many leaks? If this true, Tillman is garbage. He's trash just like everyone thought he was. There is no narrative to turn it around. Can I ask where you heard this from? Are you saying this as speculation or from a source? Cause I know for sure that Harden hasnt listed any of those locations as his preferred destinations in his list of trade destinations.

those are the 3 teams harden would go to.

hes not going to go to philly on his own.
    rafael stone is a placeholder.
tilmans son has been following around morey for a year now. morey was made obsolete.

tilman is gm. this is not inside info this is obvious.

    its owner gm.
only thing i can say is at least he is hometown guy and wants to win in that sense. this is nba video game and he can trade or keep wb no rush.

harden isnt going anywhere why would he? to where?

We need one of these where he's making just an outrageously horrified & panicked face... It needs to just be the absolute opposite of the calm and confident face Daryl was making. :D

Doesn’t really matter. Once these moves are done, Patrick is waiting in shadows to boot him out anyway.

    this is classic tilman.
let one of his family members go to the business follow it around and after a year or so take over.

tilman son morey apprentice follow morey ..once tilman son had seen it all and tilman and him had a sense of what morey..he would be marginalized .... credit to tilman for keeping morey around (kinda sneaky haha) to pick his brain and clean him out. for all the slick that morey is this was sapping of morey intellectual property.morey got took a bit. his usefulness is over since tilman thinks he is a better deal maker than morey anyway.
as a billionaire its fair to say he may not be a dealmaker like morey but hes not a tomato can either.morey has the skill though to do funky stuff (see lin poison pill) and in dont have faith for tilman to do that.

we shall see on tilman nba skills but combining a base of harden wb gordon and moreys technique and silas / lucas to guide the bball side along with bilionaire buyer deal guy negotiator they think they are in good spot.

considering harden plus players always puts you top 5--8 this notion of poor positioning is not yet accurate.

it could become the kings knicks hornets but its not ..and to say it is is incorrect

Sure it’s a tough job, but that doesn’t mean you trade our most important defender to a rival for a mediocre pick...

Hopefully he learns from Presti. Excellent drafting, winning key trades, development, culture. OKC has it all. The Rockets are still rebuilding unfortunately.
