    Despite a whirlwind of recent trade rumors involving All-Star guards James Harden and Russell Westbrook, the Houston Rockets aren’t currently interested in tearing apart the team, according to the media member that knows them best.

    Per longtime beat writer Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, the franchise’s goal remains “to make their core players believe again in the team’s championship chances.”

    A big part of that process would be improving the surrounding roster. With the NBA’s trade moratorium ending Monday and free agency opening Friday, the Rockets “believe they can bring in the help” to regain Harden’s confidence in their status as a title contender, per Feigen.

    What are they supposed to say yeah we are trading harden because we have no choice and he wants out? Diminish the trade currency?

    Paul was a cornerstone and the Rockets had no interest in trading him

    Tilman open the checkbook.

    Allow the Rockets to buy an SRP or two. Allow the Stone do whatever necessary to improve the roster. Pay the ****ing tax even if we suck. That may at least prove you are in it to win.

    Rockets will be fine to start the season if they’re healthy. Make some moves, spend some money. Getting Ibaka would be a great start

    Trade tucker and give ibaka the full MLE. Buy a second rd pick. Sign J'sean Tate. Resign Jeff Green. FInd a cheap backup PG.

    Even if he wants out. He has no choice but to honor his contact. Probably would be beneficial for both to wait until the tail end of his contract. He will still be Elite.

    if you can get some guys that can defend and shoot for Westbrook, it must be done

    Russ is garbage and a liability in the playoffs

    Maybe he wants a title ? By the time his contract runs out he will be 34 2 more years under Scrooge Tillman means wasting his prime. Personally I don’t want disgruntled player here
