NBA is promoting tampering apparently. These players are under contract. I don't see a reason Stone moves them even if they asked. He has a mandate to protect the team not make other teams better by gifting the two MVP's.
Media is being really weird the way they are trying to get Harden out of Houston. Never seen anything like it.
Yeah, so rockets have some control here . If they trade him they need to get simmons. Simmons is young and can become . BUild around. Trust me nobody is ever coming to Houston. To play with those net role players
I'm sure they prefer Harden in a bigger market, but at the end of the day Tilman, himself, has done more to get Harden out of Houston than the media could ever do
a top 5 player And you trade him for players not even in the top 30 and picks which will be bad You thought the hopkins trade was bad Can't happen
If the players are really tampering. I don’t see why anybody would want to be an nba owner when you are the mercy of your employees. That walkout the bucks did would never happen in the nfl, nhl or baseball and it’s why the league is losing fans and money
True, but 9th seed with a future nucleus instead of a mediocre 4-7 seed sounds ok to me. Let's get some young talent locked up and start going for it instead of being stuck where we are
that’s a future nucleus of mostly mediocre talent What would we be going for? To hopefully become a playoff team again 5 or more years from now?
One reason Tilman might not accept the nets offer aside from it being bleh... Trading harden for such a package which includes zero star power or potential would crater the rockets value. Something Tilman broke ass will be sure to not want. On the other hand, while the sixers offer could include Simmons along with thybulle, jrich etc... Would tilmans feelings about Moreys departure create an obstacle to any deal. It might come down to what part of Tilman is bigger... His cheapness or his pettiness.
Welcome to the future under Tillman. We went from a 65 game wining team on the cusp of a title run to a team that now will have no superstar for the foreseeable future and be stuck in mud . Listen and Shut up
Durant and Harden -- past teammates with the Oklahoma City Thunder -- have recently discussed the possibility, but there have yet to be trade discussions between the two front offices. Harden has been increasingly uneasy about the Rockets ability to compete for an NBA future and has been considering the possibility of pushing to play elsewhere before his contract expires, sources said. The Nets are believed to be considering the viability of the idea, but it is unclear how far the franchise would go in delivering Houston the assets it might require to trade for Harden. Houston Rockets GM Rafael Stone has consistently been telling teams that the Rockets plan to "run it back" with Harden this season, sources said. The Rockets have seemed inclined to listen to offers on Harden, sources said, although that's customary for most teams about most players in the league. If the Rockets did decide to engage in trade talks on Harden, they've privately made it clear that they would require a monstrous return of players, draft picks and pick swaps. The Nets have two borderline All-Star guards on the roster -- Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie -- and several more intriguing young players. The Rockets have been actively searching for trade partners for guard Russell Westbrook, but that marketplace is proving relatively barren, sources said. Westbrook, 32, has three years and $131.5 million left on his contract -- including a $46.7 million player option in 2022-23.
That kevin o connkr tweet is awful A bunch of Mediocre to average to above average players and late 1st
**** espn. They don’t even like harden. they just want him outta the west to make room for luka. Espn is run by Lebron and this whole thing feels wweish. I don’t see harden wanting to leave Houston( he loves it here). He is good enough to carry a team depending on what we get back in a westbrick trade
