    Tillman-esque deal

    1. Trade Russ to Phoenix for Future 1st Rounder (Top 10 protected)

    2. Phoenix sends Rubio and Kaminsky to Atlanta (can absorb both contracts once their free agents have been renounced)

    3. Atlanta sends us a Future 1st Rounder (Top 10 protected)

We end up with two 1sts and a hugeass TPE of $41 million.

    now Fertitta has options:

    1. use the TPE and the picks to get a player
    2. Don’t use the TPE let it expire and save money but still have picks

Imagine if Thibs wasn’t a douche and accepted a combo of four future 1sts and EG for Jimmy Butler instead of Roco and Saric.

    imagine.

I think it comes down to these teams for a Russ trade, in no particular order.

    1. Hornets
    2. Knicks
    3. Bucks
    4. Suns

if the Suns don’t get CP3, I expect they would try for WB. If the Bucks miss out on CP3, I expect the same.
For the Bucks, I think a deal would look like this. Maybe take out DiVincenzo and put in someone else.
    Bucks: WB
HOU: B. Lopez, Ilyasova, Bledsoe, and DiVincenzo

For the Knicks, they need a superstar there. They haven’t had one since Melo. WB could possibly be the start of a culture change and lead to other stars wanting to come there in the future. That being said, I don’t think they give the Rockets Mitchell or Barrett. It would be some combination of Ellington, Knox, Randle, Portis (if he opts in), Payton, and maybe DSJ. If they throw in the 8th pick, that would be great as well.

For the Hornets, they also need a superstar. Don’t think many stars want to play there. If they make this trade, some combination of Miles Bridges, Batum, Zeller, Graham, Rozier and possibly the #3 overall pick this year. I don’t think they give up Washington. I had heard that they are willing to move Malik Monk. I’m kind of surprised that they are talking about moving Bridges, but I’ve heard rumors they are actually willing to move off of him as well.

For the Suns, it would look something like this probably:

HOU: Mikal Bridges, Kelly Oubre, and Rubio
    PHX: WB

Doubtful you would get Bridges. Likely just Oubre/Rubio.

I actually believe Russ makes Boston much more dangerous than Jrue.

Russ, Jaylen, Tatum, Theis and Myles Turner (SnT Hayward) would be much more competitive vs. the best teams in the East like Heat, Bucks, 76ers.

The more 30+ threats on your team the better. Jrue will not give you that.

If Boston can flip Gordon Hayward for BOTH Turner and Oladipo, then Celts become team to beat in East.

I'd move that 3rd pick for a lower first and a starter or move that pick too for another starter.

CHA: Russ Westbrook + 15th pick overall
    PHX: Terry Rozier
ORL: Kelly Oubre, Danuel House, Frank Kaminsky + swap their 15th overall for Hornets 3rd overall
HOU: Aaron Gordon, Mo Bamba, Devonte Graham, PJ Washington

Rockets get starters instead of lottery pick in a poor draft. Rockets also save 10M in this trade to be used in FA.

    6'5 Harden/6'1 Graham (25)/6'3 BMac (27)
    6'3 EGo/6'5 Nwaba
    6'7 RoCo/6'5 Tucker
    6'8 AG (25)/6'7 Washington (22)
    7'0 Bamba (22)/MLE

Still have MLE and EGo as asset for trade deadline. Still have min vet options.

That’s fine. I had heard they are willing to move Bridges though as well.

pick #10, Bridges or Cam JohnSon should be added to Oubre and RR.

I’d like Johnson. Then trade for a big man.

oubre/RoCo would be an incredible wing tandem. Cam Johnson could play small ball 5

What about John Wall? Him and Harden are close, Wall is looking great this offseason and is finally healthy for the first time in forever and his jump shot has improved a lot. Why don’t we send Westbrook to NYC and Washington can send us Wall for the cap relief that we would get from the Knicks. Keeps Harden happy and allows us to compete still with a 30 year old John Wall who is finally healthy. If we could then flip EG and pieces for Blake then we could have a squad that might be able to make some noise this year in the event they could stay healthy.

The more and more I think about it...rubio and outbre would be a good trade especially if stone can get them to throw in the 10th.

Where? You sure you aren't mistaking Mikael Bridges for Miles Bridges of the Hornets? Because Miles Bridges is being shopped.

The Rockets are not going to get much for Russell Westbrook. Being in the middle of a pandemic and Westbrook leaking his desires to the media have lowered his already poor trade value.

The Rockets are trying to repair the relationship because they know how low his value is.

They are trying to get a draft pick that can be sent out to a third team for contributing players but that does even look promising.

It’s a mess and the place holders will get the blame internally.

The Rockets best bet is Thibs wins the internal power struggle in NY or MJ steps in and demands a deal be made like Tilman did with WB.

Highest likelihood is WB is still a Rocket or he is traded for a bunch of contracts.

Cannot trade him unless one team is willing to pay fair value.

Stone is a great negotiator which makes me comfortable knowing he won’t give Russ away unless Tilman makes him.
