PG & Pat-Bev for Russ & House (maybe one more sweetener from Houston, only because Russ has to be dealt). It's a pretty even talent exchange. Russ and PG get a new start, PatBev comes back, House gets away from Houston drama. It's almost scary how well it fits. People forget that the Clippers COLLAPSED, fired their coach, had locker-room issues, and Paul George was worse than Russ was in the playoffs. But PG would be a better fit next to Harden, and the Clippers need a better fit next to Kawhi. This is one of those trade that could honestly help both teams.
Keep it and finally develop some young talent, especially if we're not getting a starting PG back. Haliburton or Hayes would start immediately.
Magic are willing to trade AG to get into top 10 of THIS draft. And they want another playmaker or scorer. https://www.blazersedge.com/2020/11...n-gordon-orlando-magic-2020-nba-draft-lottery https://www.orlandopinstripedpost.c...1/orlando-magic-aaron-gordon-nba-trade-rumors https://syndication.bleacherreport....to-move-into-lottery-with-star-no-15.amp.html Per KOC. League sources say the Magic are attempting to move up into the lottery by packaging this pick with Aaron Gordon https://nbadraft.theringer.com/#mock
I keep forgetting there are still dysfunctional GMs in the league. Of course AG is not a franchise player but to try and get a lottery pick in this draft that's not a top 3 is a huge gamble. I wonder if he's going to draft another center hahahah
No trade with the Knicks makes us a contender anyway (unless they trade much more then what i'd expect) so, whatever. Hopefully, if that's the case we get back at least the 8 pick and draft a good player. If we can trade Westbrook for no incoming salary and make other minor moves, maybe we can have a shot at Hayward if he opts out. If we can get Hayward and a solid rookie out of Westbrook, that would be great at this point, although i highly doubt Hayward would sign here.
PG was worse than Russ? ... Russell played couple games while PG played almost every game. That's quite a stretch. At least he played.
I think Magic are targeting long ball handling/scorer type players like Killian Hayes, Tyrese Haliburton, LaMelo or even Obi Toppin. This why even a trade with Hornets would work for Rockets, that 3rd pick is not better than Russ IMO but it is valued more by some franchises due to player's potential.
I disagree. With Harden, Rockets are always a contender and more complementary pieces around him only elevate our contention chances.
Russ for Mitchell Robinson I would be absolutely fine with that deal. Robinson becomes your starting C, and you’ve got roughly $15-20 million to go shopping.
1) trade Russ for Mitchell Robinson 2) Sign Fred VanVleet - 4 years $70 million 3) room exception on Jeff Green VanVleet / Gordon Harden / McLemore House / Nwaba Covington / Tucker Mitchell / Green
If Harden commits long term the best trade would be a Westbrook and piece for Chris Middleton and one of the Lopez Twins. Preferably Brooke Lopez but the Bucks would probably want more though
