The electoral college doesn't convene until December 14th, so I mean, nobody was going to be official on November 11th.
Yes! Yes that's true! Finally someone said something true! You win. What did you win? You didn't reply with something completely stupid or false. You win a "Congrats!" from me buddy. Thanks for playin'
Oh look! look! Since the electoral college hasn't met... what the hell is he doing with that background? Someone better tell him.... or maybe just let him pretend a little longer? Maybe let the left pretend some more... let them LARP a bit.
What is "official president elect"? "President elect" is not an official position. It is a designation that, by convention, refers to the presumptive winner of the election.
That would be the person who receives the electoral college votes. That hasn't happened and the race is contested. So no he isn't in any way a president elect in an unofficial or official way. The media doesn't decide who our president elect is. Sorry if you thought otherwise, but it's simply not how our system works.
Because the election is contested because of evidence of widespread election fraud and current legal challenges. We had a similar situation in 2000.
I believed he won when it wasn't contested but he wasn't the president elect officially. In 2000 I remember not believing Bush was, that's for sure. This is not a new thing. Anyway if you think there was no foul play, you have nothing to worry about then eh?
If Hillary had refused to concede and contested the results, would you have gone out of your way to create a thread stating that President Elect Trump is just an idea?
Where is the evidence of wide spread fraud?? Because going by the cases that trump brought the residing judges asked for evidence of widespread fraud trump’s lawyers couldn’t Which is why he is 0 for 10 in lawysuits so far. I might have to apologize to you though I thought you were just a troll maybe I am wrong and you are just stupid. If so sorry for calling you a troll dumbass.
People will argue over anything. Why do people engage with this guy? This election is nothing similar to 2000. Except the right candidate won. But that's almost every election.
Since everyone *should* be working remotely when they can, lack of access to gov office space maybe a blessing in disguise It sounds like the biggest issue is access to presidential daily briefing and coordination across federal agencies with the incoming team for a smooth transition.
Trump needs to just concede. He's scrambling and sinking deeper in desperation as each day passes. He will go out as the most disgusting, irresponsible, narcissistic, immature, vile, lying, abusive, corrupt, and unintelligent President in history. That's a fact!
Yes numerically this election isn't close to 2000. That was a few hundred votes in one state in question. This is tens of thousands of votes over several states. The 2016 election was much closer than this one so was the 2004 election.
Yup and in both cases the loser conceded the night of even if their margins were more narrow than what Trump is facing right now. I think it helped that they weren't facing possible indictments and debt collection where they weren't deathly afraid of not having the protections of the presidency. So that helps in having the will power to concede I guess.
Just to nitpick, it’s tens of thousands of votes in each of the 4 closest swing states. Hundreds of thousands of votes over them. 5+ millions and counting for the nation. This isn’t remotely close to 2000, where it’s was around 300 votes that decided the presidency, thx goodness.
