Rumors are she was an outspoken Biden supporter and well apparently Cletus McNair drew some inspiration from his daddy on this one. These guys just cant stay out of their own way!
Thank god the trade deadline is over. This insubordination from Watt is not tolerated from Easterby. He will ship his ass out for a 6th round pick while taking on additional salary!
waiting for texans to ban quincy avery from nrg stadium so they will have succeeded in running off hopkins, watt, and watson. but at least easterby is establishing the right culture! on the flipside im sure those guys will appreciate being able to play for a well-run football organization for a change. watson just counting down the days...
Like having baby mommas in the locker room. All I know is Dhop was more of a leader of man than these buffoons. And he love his mama. Colts game, national tv, gifted her the game ball not once, twice!
"Cultural fit" is often code for something more sinister or nefarious. It's one of those nebulous phrases. It's a good possibility that Amy's politics triggered Easterby and/or McNair, and that was the real reason she was fired. Seems like she'll quickly land on her feet somewhere else, and that "somewhere else" will likely be a better-run organization than the Texans.
Jaime Rootes said he sat down with her and they both decided it was time to part ways. I know that is usually BS and means nothing but... Maybe SHE decided it wasn't a cultural fit and was trying to get herself fired. I mean, can you blame her if she did?
If Palcic wanted to leave, she could have simply resigned her position and told the Texans she wanted to explore other opportunities. Getting fired is a much bigger stain on anyone’s career reputation than leaving a job in a professional manner. That’s why most rational people don’t go out of their way to be fired.
Not it you're a PR expert and you know that getting fired from the Texans would actually increase your value because 1. people will feel bad and express all their love for you and 2. people think the Texans are laughable and will assume it was a mistake on their part. People around the NFL are saying she should have a job by the weekend LOL
Imagine being the first NFL team to fire a woman, regardless of role. Now imagine firing a woman who's VP of freakin' Communications. Like, unless Amy committed some sort of felony, this is just bad. Surface level = bad optics, deeper level = who would want to work for the Texans?
Easterby is trying to bring the culture of his alma mater to the Texans... ...his alma mater? Liberty University of Jerry Falwell Jr. fame
I'm beginning to think the Texans may just no longer be a culture fit for my attentions as a fan. How hard is it to go a month without making your entire organization look like a car full of clowns?
