    * Soon to be Harden, Westbrook, Covington, Tucker and Gordon.

Tilman still has Patrick though to help him... oh and Tad “fireworks” Brown.

Okay I agree with that portion. I think we are talking about this current situation though with the possible disconnect between James and the FO/Ownership

If you think I’m a fan of Tilman or defending him here, you have it all wrong. You are absolutely correct he is the reason all of those individuals that were instrumental in building a 65-win team that should have beaten arguably the best team of all time are gone.

If Tilman did not involve Harden and Westbrook in the coaching search, he’s an even bigger idiot than I previously thought, and I already thought he was a big one. Let me make it clear, Tilman Fertitta is neck and neck with James Dolan for the title of worst owner in the NBA, and he’s the problem with the Rockets. Instead of letting his basketball people run the show while he learns the ropes of being an NBA owner, he thinks he knows more than anyone else and meddles to the Rockets’ detriment.

James is more professional than that so I dont believe it. He would absolutely answer his bosses phone calls at 40M a year.

Maybe this is a media blitz funded by Michael Dell to force Tilman to sell.

    We can only hope right?

I’ve seen this play out too many times

OKC hired Billy Donavan without consulting KD, and I remember thinking how stupid that was

    from Woj

Donovan has had an interest in trying to speak to the Thunder’s key players, including Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka, before accepting the job, but it was unclear if that would be facilitated for Donovan, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Throughout the Donovan process, Presti hasn’t conferred with his top players, nor their agents.

if Harden has actually gone ghost, then I see a trade as becoming pretty likely

Why even stay? All the guys he was loyal to are gone. Morey is gone, MDA is gone. Silas is new. Tilman is trash. He won’t win a title here, and he needs one for his legacy.

Simmons/ Horford and picks to Houston for JH. Harden gets to a team who will pay to win and wants to win. Houston gets a young star and picks that Tillman and Stone can **** up. Win win.

One thing I have to keep reminding myself... Harden is 31 years old. At my office, we call that an "idiot". No one knows anything about conflict resolution or working with other people at that age. It's just "what I want" and it rarely makes any sense.

Patrick....if you are reading this, DO NOT trade him to the Warriors or the Lakers, that is all I ask. You've done irreparable harm here, dont make it worse.

Yeah... looking at it from a dollars per day... Every unanswered phone call and lost day is worth about $100k. 1 week, and you've got yourself a pretty sweet house.

Funnily those 2 teams have the best chance to win ships in the near future.

I remember Ron Artest winning the ship the next year. Under a new name.

I really want to see the spacing with Simmons, Westbrook, and a "traditional big" (because they won't be able to afford one that can shoot like Ibaka or Wood)

    Get ready for anti-gravity!

I partly agree with this. Good players should be inducted without involving the star players. Adding Ennis and MCW, and calling them difference makers isn't going to work. Letting Ariza go was a mistake. CP3 needed a solid backup PG. There would have been no reason to give up multiple picks for Westbrook. That's on Tilman, even more than Harden.

He doesn’t need to have any conflict resolution... if he wants out, he can get out.. it’s that simple. Harden doesn’t have a normal job. There are a line of teams that will gladly pay him.
