It's a slow moving coup. People think it's funny or a joke but he's maneuvering those loyal to him into important roles that would insulate him, particularly in the military. This is ****ed up.
Trump and the Republican establishment are trying to erode the foundations on which our government depends on. There are going to have to be some serious changes to make sure some **** like this never happens again. On top of that, trump and those who would choose to stand by him, need to be held accountable and brought to bear the full weight of the justice system.

The problem is there is no mechanism but the military. Whoever controls the military controls the nation. Trump is firing people who won't do whatever bullshit he wants them to do and he's putting his sycophants in position. Congress isn't saying **** about it and neither is the media.
There is no reason to believe the military will comply with whatever dopy order Trump's yes men puts in place. They arent stupid, they know what's going on here.

I'm aware of what he's doing. The military, even in small parts, will not be backing whatever coup anyone thinks is upcoming.
I agree with this sentiment. Trump has disrespected military leaders and servicemen too many times to count. The majority hate this mother****er too. If they press them they’re not going to like the response. The administration is really overplaying there cards here. Trump is literally in panic mode because he knows what awaits him when he’s out.
