Regarding healthcare costs, I think we'll eventually get to medicare for all. Regarding increased education costs, if you don't like it, don't participate. There are many trades that will provide a comfortable life.

I think armed revolution has no chance in America.

How about the fact that the median housing g price has increased almost three fold adjusted for inflation of course since the 50s?

So how long do you think these trends can last?

Armed revolution requires enough frustration by the common person. So if these trends continue at the current rate of change, I definitely enough frustration in 15-20 years where enough Americans would be willing to take up armed conflict.

Millenials are really just the new Boomers, right? It's all about them, all the time. As a Gen X-er, I was just resigned to the fact that the system wasn't going to favor us. We'd wait our turn, knowing that our standard of living and opportunities weren't going to be what the previous generation had. We took out huge student loans and paid them off, slowly. And look, even though we're in our 40s and 50s, it's still Boomers who are primarily in control of government.

Now it's Millenials demanding that we cancel their student loans and cater to them. They shouldn't have to go through what the rest of us went through, paying our loans and waiting until later in life to buy homes. If we don't do what they want, it's going to be an armed revolution!

Can you show your work on how you came up with that number?

You need to understand the difference between normative and positive claims. My statements are positive claims addressing the human condition. They aren't moral claims of what ought to happen. I'm saying that all these economic trends of the past 50 years are eventually pointing to an inflection point where enough people will have nothing to lose where armed conflict is foreseeable.

You make all these accusations but then the data shows how far off reality you are. Saying that your generation had to wait for homeownership and modern millennials don't have patience flies against the data. The data says that homeownership levels under 40 years of age are at all time lows. That means this generation is waiting far longer for the chance for homeownership. There's also the fact that there is a record breaking amount of multi-income households compared to previous generations another sign that the current generation has to struggle more just to have a roof over their heads.

The further you move away from major cities, the cheaper it gets.

In America, armed revolution is essentially suicide. I have no worries about it whatsoever.

The further you move away from the city and suburbs the less job opportunities there are. And you understand what "median" is right? Median doesn't mean "coastal elite cities". It means "median". So when I say the median value of housing has almost increased 3 fold adjusted with inflation in the past half century that is a representation of the entire country, not just coastal cities.

It seriously baffles me that there are Americans who basically advocate slavery. Work full time, deserve housing? Nope. Wtf type of conditions were they raised in to not have this basic amount of empathy.

I have never thought of it like that and I am loathe to assign labels to entire swaths of people but I can't say you are entirely wrong.

    Good ****.

If you aren't willing to commute an hour each way to work, then you certainly aren't going to participate in armed revolution.

    Nope not going there.

It's why people shut off having meaningful discussions when you use that overheated rhetoric.

I think you've rubbed off people the wrong way and creased discussion far more than me.

Ya Im not going to be afraid to express my opinions because it offends you.

Working full time regardless of the skills required should have an American entitled to housing, clean running water, internet, a mode of transportation, proper nutrition and health care.

If you want a BMW M4, then get a job that requires more skills. It any job at full time should warrant the most basic mode of working transportation and housing.

Not really sure what your point is. Suburbs exist throughout America.
