Now that Rivers has opted out, Rockets need back up point. https://clutchcitycontrolroom.com/2...preview-guards/amp/?__twitter_impression=true I would also add following to list: 6'4 Tyler Johnson 6'1 Langston Galloway 6'2 Cameron Payne Not advocating using MLE on backup PG however.
They just got to finals and Dragić is better than Oladipo. And he is a point guard, they already got SG in Jimmy
I agree, it will be wrong to spend the MLE on a backup PG. I anticipated this would happen. I'm sad, I liked this mature version of Austin Rivers on our Houston Rockets. I will cheer him against all teams apart from Houston.
No no no no no no no. God please no. Most overrated player in the NBA. Even saying he sucks is overrating him. If he didn't play for the Lakers no one would know who he is.
Trey Burke shot the lights out against us for the Mavs. He is a UFA. Dallas might throw money at him, but he is worth the vet minimum, if he qualifies for it? Silas could try to get him, if he likes his game. I do think that good backup PG's might avoid coming to Houston, because of limited minutes. @ApacheWarrior
I believe Silas (had him in Dallas) would like him for Houston and vice-versa. And the rumor for Kuzma in earlier posting by others......I wonder if it’s Kuzma - House swap. They make about the same money. What do you think about that swap if true?
Thx. He's got pretty good court vision for a short PG. How's his defense against similar sized guards?
All in all a wash when you compare Rivers-Burke stats: https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm...y+Burke&player_id2=burketr01&idx=bbr__players Burke w/ Mavs was a PER of 15 / Rivers last season was a PER of 10. Both 113 DRTg (Burke with Mavs - Rivers w/ us) FT shooting a clear advantage Trey Burke (91% w/Mavs). Also better 3-point shooter (as a Maverick 43%)
@saleem Could this be a trade possibly being discussed? Silas would get his center (MeGee opts in) https://tradenba.com/trades/U_e-I3oF1 Houston in: Kuzma JaVale MeGee x Lakers in: D House McLemore Clemons Lakers sign Aron Baynes because they start off at around $119M in team payroll to our $130M prior to trade. We have Gerald Green ready to take the place of McLemore. Clutchfan’ers get D House off the team. House plays SF while D Green plays SG while at Lakers. Do you like the trade saleem? Rockets Roster: Westbrook Harden Tucker Kuzma MeGee although I would like to say https://tradenba.com/trades/kNIL_t9VD Houston in: Kuzma JaVale MeGee x Lakers in: Eric Gordon Then we could go after Baynes as well. Edited: funny how losing House/McLemore for Kuzma/MeGee projected -3 losses....but sub in Eric Gordon for House/McLemore and it projected to +12 wins.
What you people smoking these days? There going to trade Kuz and Gee for 2 peices of trash, and Undervalued/Unradar rookie who cheats on his wife, and padded stats because of Harden? for nice big men, and Up and Coming Star. More like they trade those 2 for westbrook and 1st round pick.
I’m sure it would be Houston/Silas going after that center he wants. In Dallas the Centers (Porzingis/Kleber) were huge minus in the plus/minus stat vs the Clippers (in PO’s) except Boban Maranovic was a huge plus in the plus/minus stat. Like MeGee no 3-pt capability but can set screens. You clearly overrate Kuzma to the 8th degree. McLemore and Clemons are non guaranteed contracts. Lakers can use the money to bring in better talent. LeBron would also like the 40% three point shooting of McLemore. Opens up lanes for AD/LeBron.
That first scenario would be funny. LeBron would welcome House: "My man. Welcome to the Lake Show. Hey, thanks for that help you gave us in the playoffs. Was she worth it? Ha ha! Best money I ever spent. Anyway, best of both worlds. Now you get to win a title."
Yeah, LeBron is listed as point guard in most Laker rosters. Rondo whispers say he is leaving. L.A. has temptation but LeBron would take him under his wing. House would provide good SF play next to AD and LeBron at small price (House salary is less than $4M) Nobody should just smirk that off. But it’s just speculation on my part. Guessing Houston approached the Lakers.....shot down.
agreed 100%. backup PG should be minimum. I like Payne a lot. Johnson is a good option as well. maybe Raul Neto. I really like Jevon Carter but I don't think he's available for the minimum. excellent on ball defender and solid shooter. only 25. I think he can probably find a room MLE or LLE somewhere. I'd be tempted even at those prices! not a bad fall back if we miss on other MLE targets.
