The Democrats are not going to support defunding the police just to defund the police. Most of what I have seen is diverting some funds to either crime prevention or counseling. Other programs I have seen have actually involved increasing overall spending. It is an interesting time to be alive.
Dems won't do anything for now. But will eventually cause a chasm between far left and progressives. Its only a matter of time before an incompetent cop kills some black person and makes national media. BLM will be on our screens again and Biden will need to answer. My guess is that he'll embrace BLM and try to shove some legislature and drive a lot of people mad.

Maybe, but it isn’t the end of the world. He will without a doubt support BLM to a point, but he isn’t going to support true defunding or police.
Well, you either support BLM or you don't. If you're Obama, apparently, you get to take whatever position you want. But that's the only person I remember who got a pass. The only way Biden gets a pass is if Obama speaks on behalf of Biden. Not difficult to imagine, sure, but I'm definitely gonna be there to repeat this information lol.
Rage under Trump intensified against police brutality as it also did to a lesser extent with metoo movement. I'm not sure if Trump started the trend of national protests or riots but I'm assuming the normal is local protests where the incident happens along with the assumption the president will take time to address the issue. This likely means Biden will take a moderating stance. White Cons thought Obama fanned the flames with "his remarks" over Trayvon and Ferguson, but in hindsight and in comparison, they were moderate as with what he did with Occupy movement. I don't think they'll do nothing this time though but will have to wait for the opportunity to strike. In fact, if Obama's second term mediocrity is any indication, Biden better flood the gates knowing he'll bat .250. People want action and are paying more attention to why. No one will get McConnell's actions or Roberts strike downs, but if Fox bellyaches about illegality and criminality every single day, that will amount to progress in the Biden camp and a framework to neuter the filibuster or finding a landmark decision to fight against. It's a very long game and one Dems are only invested in with social causes. They need to pivot that strategy to the wealth gap and Fully Commit to Redistributing Wealth. First by decree like with farmer hand outs, then with legislative muster. Every vote counts, and they have spoken about what they think about Democrat politicians. Definitely not blue collar or for average worker...
