I’m resisting the urge to post on IG. I quit FB a couple years ago. Although everyone knows where I stand I don’t know if it’s necessary to ruffle feathers especially since I also have business associates that follow me on there. Although I’d hope my political views wouldn’t effect my business it can potentially and in this climate I don’t think a few likes are worth it.
Ehh I fall somewhere in the middle. Trump was an incumbent. Being an incumbent is a huge advantage in Presidential politics and Trump wielded the advantage more than any modern President promising interest groups more than anyone since FDR. Only three other incumbents have lost in the last hundred years and those three lost to arguably the three most important and charismatic Presidents of the last hundred years: Roosevelt, Reagan and Clinton. Trump lost to Biden. Also Biden lost none of his states and flipped: MI, WI, AZ, GA That is a mandate in Presidential terms. We aren’t entering an era like FDR where Democrats control politics for a decade, but the Democrats should overall be happy with the outcome of the 2020 election. The Democrats have also been provided a road map for future success. The working class voters (be they white or minority) want their wages and ease of life addressed above all else. They don’t want a racist, bigot President but they also don’t want PC police getting outraged over every slight and they don’t need a multi billion dollar Green Deal.
I'm hoping people come to more of a moderate stance. Unfortunately the media wants attention like a 2 year old, so thats not in our future. Given the hyperinflation of divisive ****, I give it 10 years before people realize the media wants everything to be a political matter for viewership and profit.
Trump goes down in history as the only President in the 60 year history of Gallup polling to never at any time have an approval rating of 50% or above. POS was hated from day one until now with good reason. Today should become a national holiday.

People are done with covid. They were done with it few months ago. Nobody is looking at the skyrocketing infection rate. The only way people can quarantine again is if the governments mandate another shutdown. I seriously doubt people want more of that.
