This is a truly weird hill to die on. Denying factual reality to cape for Russel Westbrook. Westbrook has been garbage for many years now. He has been nothing but an inefficient, turnover prone, all flash zero substance box score stuffer who doesn’t help you win.... outside of a short 5 week period....in the regular season.... Using what is unbelievably obvious to be just generic “coach speak” from an interview with a screaming idiot as some sort of proof that Westbrook hasn’t been a bad player for several years now is....special
I remember when all the so called experts said no team with Avery Johnson starting at point guard would ever win a championship. If the team around any good to great player is good enough no matter how inefficient he or she is in one area that team will win a championship with the right coaching.
He's not a TV personality. He is a coach. You guys worry about the wrong things. I didn't see ESPN interviewing MDA.
Don't be fooled, expectations and fault should be assigned with regards to salary size. Nobody would be defending Corey Brewer at $40M.
Had no idea it was not Paul Silas. Read the name "Silas" and thought of the image of Paul Silas this whole time as Rockets head coach.

What are you taking about ? who every even talked about Avery Johnson ? He was a solid PG role player and all but he was also the 5th or 4th ( at best) player on the court for his own team
He was cool, naturally confident and genuine. Didn't know about his ivy league backgound also. Questions didn't phase him and he came off very approachable and likeable, I thought he did great.
Avery Johnson is just one example of a point guard who was viewed as ineffective and a player that wasn't consistent enough to lead a team as a starting point guard to win a championship just as Westbrook is viewed now by lots of people. My point is in the right system on a talented team with the right coaching and the player's buy in a team can win with Westbrook. I'm not comparing Avery's basketball ability and talent to Westbrook. If I were to do that all that would do is prove my point even more.
