Like i said in the random trade idea thread, the Barnes, Holmes (who's a player i always liked), pick isn't good enough for me cause the pick coming back from SacTo would've to be lottery protected, they likely miss the playoffs again, and the next draft is really good apparently so, i don't see any reason why they would give up a lottery 1st if not protected in order to take back two old players like Gordon and PJ, it makes no sense, even more since Gordon is on a pretty big and long deal and he's pretty much the same player as Hield, i mean, the more you think about it, the less sense it makes for them...unless they trade Hield, maybe.

Horford is also old and overpaid, but his contract runs out one year earlier then Eric's contract, and is on par with the contracts of James and Russ, the third year of Horford's deal is also unguaranted so, if James and Russ opt out you can release Horford in 2022, if they opt in you can keep him or trade him as a big expiring contract. Not to mention he's a perfect fit for this team, smart center who can shoot, pass, create for himself and others, i'm fully convinced that swapping Gordon for him would be an upgrade for us, and i like Eric.

Vucevic's presence will improve spacing, but the defense will suffer enormously. No thanks. We don't need a rich man's Ryan Anderson.

He's pretty much Ariza with more potential on offense. Could become a solid starter.

He will replace Gordon, He is a young and upcoming 3 & D player. Hartford will upgrade your Center job, and get you outside 3pt shots and space the floor. But yea 3 And D, and Spacing Floor with Hartford. Looks like there plan is to run small ball with Hartford who is a Undersized PF still but tall enough to go back to regular style of play at Center. Tbh i wish they just scrap small ball, but here we go again with it.

Yeah, i was thinking the same, Vuc offense is pretty great, but still, his defense, especially on this team...eh, the Warriors are also back for the next season, i'm not exactly excited to see them run around him for 40 minutes.

    Harrison Barnes...oh NO!

Harry Giles & Noel plus Gordon is better than Barnes & Holmes.

I hope none of this is true.

As long as Westbrook is here they don't really have another choice i think, unless they get a center that can shoot of course.

In addition to be able to stick it from downtown, Vuc has a helluva inside game.
He's also a beast on the boards.
As to his D....While not a shotblocker, he plays great position defense...on the interior.
All in all, a far cry from RA.

I love Thybulle and I'm good with Holmes but Barnes has to be in my top 5 yucky players in the league. I hope those picks are decent so we can trade them for more help if ever. Isn't there a way to just get Hield instead lol. Harden will turn him into a borderline allstar.

Also it's interesting to see how other fans value our assets. Had a feeling Turner and Vuc were completely impossible for what we had.

From the interviews I have heard from Silas, he wants a traditional big and wants to build an offense/defense that can play multiple ways. He mentioned wanting a traditional big that can roll to the basket. He mentioned how playing one way makes the team predictable. He wants the option for small ball but also wants a big.

Stone also made it seem like they became a small ball team because they didn't have a center; as in they traded for Covington and ended up with no center...so they decided to play small ball. Whether I believe that or not, it seems like Stone also wants a center on the roster.

The should do whatever it takes to get Chris Paul back on this team. That includes getting rid of Hardhead.
I say do the swap for Westbrook then trade Harden for Embid and top tier role player filler or picks. Then sign Christian Wood and maybe Jae Crowder.
    Problem solved.

Silas said he wanted a center who could be roll and lob threat when Rockets are not playing small, i.e. when 1 of either Harden and especially Russ, sit.

    That is not Vucevic.

And this lob/roll threat would not be starter unless this player could also play 5 out.

    That is not Holmes.

Neither of these options are any good.

Yea you pull the trade. Gordon is the better player, but you basically getting more rebounding with Hartford, and putting him around Covington could be nice as for Defensive purposes. But hey he can rebound. They say hes coming down i think you should atleast get a pick for taking on his contract. But Matise is not going to shine in philly, and Rockets could move Harden to Small Forward. But rockets really need to improve there Center job. If they get Baynes, and some how maybe can sign Paul Milsap or very least Harkless this team could get very close.

    Hartford (34)/ Baynes(33)
    Paul Milsap(36) / (29)Covington
    Harden(31)/Harkless(27)
    Thybulle/ Kyle Kover?
    Westbrook/ Jeff Teague

If im going all in this would be my roster to compete, this is the west its time to retool or rebuild which is it ?

All vets, and all hungry for a title you think by now ..

Morey has always coveted Horford, he is great as back up to Embiid and he complements Simmons when Embiid sits.

His accurate is this Hawk's insider anyway.

If this is the kind of trades Stone is going to be making then I'm duly and truly unimpressed.
