The votes are still there one way or another though. If people are motivated to vote, they’ll go in person. Voting by mail in some states is not easy at all. In person there are people there if you don’t know what to do. Also worth noting the GOP created this delayed affect themselves with their rules. These were all cast weeks ago but they wanted to give the red mirage affect so Trump can do exactly what he’s doing and they could feed conspiracy theory .... IN THEIR OWN state that they govern. Never forget that. But I assume once the pandemic is in the rear view every single one of these votes should be more than happy to show up same day or early in person.

An EO and a tweet aren’t much different. It’s just that a certain institution is directed and takes action then litigation is filed to put a stop to it. So technically state officials could like the PA Secretary of State could walk in there and order them to stop tallying votes because the president tweeted to stop. It would be an illegal order though and a court would order them to continue. In the coming weeks it’ll be scary to see with Republican institutions are willing to do for Trump on his way out the door. The guy is going to burn down the White House.

Online voting is one of the safest. Drop off and mail in has had its issue. Having a receipt AND the ability to check your results weren't tampered with is by far the safest. Some states issue receipts. At this point, its online voting. One method is to have a government app that you vote on. Once you submit your votes, you can take your device, let a government official scan your QR code and ID to certify your vote. Depending on how close the race is, more votes would be required to certify.
