Fair enough but the problem here at it's heart what you identified regarding the state Senate - a system that's naturally biased against Democrats and requires a supermajority to overcome (or even worse, look next door in Wisconsin). You can look for a magic message or candidate to overcome it, and in a coalition party like the Democrats there's always going to be a panoply of options, and whosever is not being used is going to say it's theirs (see this thread, where Biden is in a quantum superposition of being too liberal, too centrist and too conservative). But at the end of the day unless we restructure the institution it's a losing battle for anything but status quo. Our system of government and politics is broken, at most levels. I don't see how we get out of it from within.
He's going to jail in NY for crimes against NY state, not federal crimes as president. A Biden pardon won't save him.
