I sort of agree. However a counter argument is that Biden has received more votes than any other candidate ever. So enough people voted for him. Unfortunately Trump also received a lot of votes. So it might not be that they were not inspiring. For some strange reason Trump was also inspiring to many many people...
great post, I BOLDED THIS PART, because this is the main reason i voted trump in both 2016 and 2020. All democrats do is TALK, they are no action. When you really think about it, they need black and brown people to remain poor. If the dems ever put in laws to help black and brown people become financially stable. Then a lot of what the dems run on would no longer be of use to those said people. Black men, hispanic men and hispanic women are slowly seeing the dems for what they are. Black women will ALWAYS remain loyal to the democrats because they completely sold the black race down the gutter just for a pat on the head from white liberals, lgbt( black women overly support it because white liberals told them to), same with killing babies. I can assure if you if pedofilia becomes passed black women will support that as well. Liberals give black women materialistic things that have no real value like being cast as the little mermaid, batwoman. and a lot of "black girls rock" type tv series on netflix and hulu. Black women dont care about real change in the black community they would give all their votes to the democrats just for simply more symbolism on tv and to replace the white woman as the standard of beauty and liberals KNOW THIS
Lol, Trump doesn't have a hard line on China he just blames them for his failure on the virus at rallies , and lol @ "the majority of Asian people " from Uzbekistan to Indonesia being a measurable constituency in your mind. I know we're down on polling but....no Asian Americans, who are somewhat measurable, voted for Biden by huge margins.
turnout has been an issue in usa long before trump. so apathy is there and built in.. with virus going on, telling people to "stand by" and drama that didnt help. sure it was higher but also note increased population would lead to more votes on its own. not inspiring also means that miami guy would have chosen clint eastwood over trump and biden wasnt going to sway that over represented group. in florida with old people ( traditional conservative) and tough macho tony montana miami guy and im surprised florida gave one vote to biden. going forward with this dynamic florida is a lost cause for dems
All true. I was not really disagreeing with you. I also had many candidates who I would have liked much better than Biden. It is sad that we had 2 old guys. I was mostly making sure that we do not give the Trump voters an easy excuse why they voted for Trump. Yes Biden is not inspiring, but he is also not a madman (almost 70 million people voted for this madman). So it should still be an easy choice

yeah biden is benign (what we need lol) but as much as i hate trump even for me it was a bit cringe to pick biden. im just being honest to myself.. you are in netherlands right? its interesting i saw in europe trumps approval was highest in netherlands of any european country long list. i found that curious since I think of you guys as being some of the most orderly of the europeans lol ( especially vs. say spain) ...intriguing to me
I understand. I would also not like voting Biden. Yeah I am from the Netherlands. Unfortunately we also have a (too) large group of people who are receptive to the populists. We are not the social, liberal free thinking place we used to be. Our biggest party has been our version of the republicans for many many years, and the populist parties also draw a big crowd. Luckily in our systems the populist would never be able to form government with enough other parties to become our prime minister. There are also many conspiracy theory people in the Netherlands (G5 towers have been burned, Covid is not really a problem). This is one of the reasons why I am so mad with the success of Trump, our populist use his strategies and it resonates with too many people. The anti-intellectual sentiment is also strong here.. Still most people I know despise Trump (that is partly because my social circle consists mostly of the well educated, but overall most people think he is an idiot).
