No one is saying the votes shouldn't be counted... but the tactics used here are just mirroring what blmers have been doing for the past 5 months, and what democrats did in 2016 with the protesting, the russia stuff, etc. the hypocrisy , as a grown adult, is nauseating when you pretend like you're part of the pristine party while everyone else is doing something completely unheard of. that too, there haven't been any violent crimes committed or polling booths smashed into/mobbed.
It's kind of funny and this is all anecdotal, nothing scientific but... If you remember yesterday, when Dems thought we were losing. There was a lot of "We just didn't do well enough," and "This country just likes trump," posts. A lot of left leaning people just accepting that Trump could win the election. I didn't see many calls on Trump winning BECAUSE of cheating. Even 2016, the 'Russiagate' was not about Trump stealing the election, it was about Russia meddling in our election to benefit Trump. Now, leading up to this, I've seen a lot of right wingers claim that when they win, Dems will cry foul and claim that Trump cheated...yet, good luck finding many on the right , right now, that could just accept that maybe....just maybe...Trump lost the election. I guess this is what happens when you think your guy is winning in a landslide...

I think people are seeing Trump's spoiling tactics and feeding the conspiracy nutters as a sign he's conceded defeat.
It doesn’t look good but if the Dems can’t take the Senate that’s going to be a big blow to the Democratic agenda. Trump will be gone but I don’t know how much Dems will be able to accomplish vis-a-vis all the major types of issues they were targeting... education, taxes, healthcare etc etc. The Senate staying in Mitch McConnell’s hands is a massive problem for Democrats but that feels like it’s being lost a little bit in the intense desire to get Trump out of office.
Free speech (sometimes angry speech resulting in protests) and counting votes is what democracy is fundamentally based on. I'm sorry if something is nauseating you but the two things above have to be prioritized above all else, even if it means that there is a crowd of black dudes on your block scaring the sh*t out of you. Kinda like that recent video of a Trumper in a truck wanting to visit a black neighborhood to protest - that's probably why he had a police with him - to protect his right. I'm glad that you agree on needing to count the votes. Let the courts decide if something nefarious happened with those ballots - I'm sure Trump will explore all legal avenues. That's one of his few real expertise probably and GOP packing courts should also help. Intimidating poll workers is unamerican.
The gap in Georgia is now down to only 23,000. Don't know how many ballots are left to be counted. I want Biden to win Georgia so bad, it will drive cheetle head crazy!

It's easier to pass an agenda by the winners with 50 senate seats than to trade votes to override a cloture at 60.
