I said it two days ago and I’ll say it again. Dems need to stop putting a red cent into Florida next year and put all that effort into Texas, and the valley. I think they need Hispanics in leadership positions and really overhaul the branding. Texas Hispanics lean are just sitting there waiting to either turn the state blue or solidify the state as a Republican stronghold. Also still look at the numbers in Denton county. There are massive amount of suburban growth. What underperformed expectation for 20 was Latino support in the RGV and there just not being enough in Harris county to overwhelm. 6 points is not a very impressive win for Texas actually.
Or it's because they are counting provisional ballots and ballots that were dropped off yesterday afternoon and still have to go through signature checks, etc. And, of course, Nevada only requires ballots to be postmarked by election day, so many votes haven't even arrived yet. Election officials don't release results strategically - GOP and Dem representatives are able to observe so nothing crazy happens.
...well... ...the Republicans have been saying that dead Democrats have been showing up to vote in person for years... ...not that much of a stretch to assume that dead Democrats could mail in their votes just as easy as they could vote in person... ...unless, of course, you actually happen to be sane...or at the very least, not totally incontinent...
GA will be done tonight, not sure about PA or what is going on here. If Biden wins GA and PA tonight, he's through no matter what happens in AZ or NV. If Biden wins just PA, he's at 273 not counting AZ/NV.
They’re still counting mail in ballots and we probably won’t get a final tally until Thursday or Friday.
Trump Supporters: Stop counting the vote! Also Trump Supporters: Re-count the vote! C’mon y’all... which is it?
They don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground. They just screech whatever they’re told to. Emails! Hunter’s laptop!! Stop the counting!!!
The way I was taught in high school was that the reason for the Electoral College was that if was just a popular vote, candidates would focus all their attention on population centers and ignore the rural parts of the country. It was intended so that candidates had to pay attention to the entire country. But that's not the way it works. Candidates only care about toss up states. Trump isn't trying to appeal to the voters in California or New York. Nobody gives a crap about Wyoming or Montana. It's all about Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania and what other states may be in play like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. It's not necessarily a better solution, just a different one. And it's a system where some peoples vote counts more than others. A vote in Wyoming counts more than a vote in California. As a Texan, I've never felt like my vote mattered because it's gone red every single election in my lifetime. The Electoral College didn't necessarily save us from a flawed system. It just gave us a different flawed system.
