But we don't live in direct democracy. We live in indirect democracy. Proportionality is crucial to guarantee that rural areas have also represantation. Otherwise specific urban populations would determine the fate of the whole country and rurals will become left out. Democracy already is a form of tyranny of the masses. That's why proportionality is vital as a compromise.

Title sounds great (good job R's), but it of course intentionally doesn't convey that the aforementioned "freedom" is freedom for ISPs to block and throttle websites at their whim, not freedom for people to use the internet as they wish.
